Chris Hughes (hypnotist)
Chris Hughes (born 18 April 1975) is a British born TV hypnotist, hypnotherapist, speaker, and entertainer. He is known for attempting to set a world record for the biggest online hypnosis event. The Socialtrance live event was exclusively for users of Facebook and Twitter and attracted over 1,000,000 listeners from over 130 countries. Since this event he has become increasingly well known for his modern approach to hypnosis. He featured and appeared on BBC One, BBC Three, ITV , Sky Living, CNN Türk, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live and Talksport with Ian Collins. In the same year on 31 May, over 13,500 people took part in the Socialtrance Stop Smoking Session for World No Tobacco Day once again for users of Facebook and Twitter. On World Hypnotism Day, 4 January 2011, Socialtrance returned with a weight loss session for charity which over 30,000 people attended. Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a type of mind–body intervention in which hypnosis is used to create a state of focused attention and increased suggestibility in the treatment of a medical or psychological disorder or concern. Popularized by 17th and 18th century psychologists such as James Braid and Milton H. Erickson, today the use of hypnosis as a form of therapy to retrieve and integrate early trauma is controversial within the scientific mainstream. Use of hypnosis for treatment of other problems has produced mixed results, such as with smoking cessation. Research indicates that hypnotising an individual may aid the formation of false memories, and that hypnosis "does not help people recall events more accurately". Claire Anne Richards (born 17 August 1977) is an English singer who is best known for being in the pop group Steps. Richards was a contestant on the second series of '' Popstar to Operastar'' before being voted off in the semi finals. She possesses the vocal range of a soprano. On 3 January 2013, Richards entered '' Celebrity Big Brother'' and came in fourth place. From April to June 2014, she was a regular panellist on ''Loose Women''. Steps are a British dance-pop group consisting of Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian "H" Watkins. Steps were formed in May 1997 and achieved a series of charting singles between 1997 and 2001 including two number-one singles in the UK (one a double A-side), two number-one albums in the UK, 14 consecutive top 5 singles in the UK and a string of hits throughout Europe. The group has sold over 22 million records worldwide in addition to acquiring a BRIT Award nomination in 1999 for Best Newcomer while supporting Britney Spears on tour the same year. Ian Collins is a British radio and television presenter and journalist and author. Radio career Collins became a presenter on Invicta FM in Kent. He joined the newly launched Talk Radio UK in 1995, which later became Talk Sport. He presented the Overnight show, ''Ian Collins and the Creatures of the Night'' from 1995 to 2002, then the Late-Night Weekend Show, ''Ian Collins: Unbranded'' from 2002 to 2004, replacing Tommy Boyd.
