Chokeslam (film)
''Chokeslam'' is a 2016 Canadian romantic comedy film directed by Robert Cuffley and starring Chris Marquette, Amanda Crew, Niall Matter, Michael Eklund and Mick Foley. The film follows Corey Swanson (Marquette) prior to a high school reunion, as he tries to make amends with a girlfriend who had publicly rejected him, and had since become a professional wrestler. It premiered at the Calgary International Film Festival in October 2016, and was given a wide Canadian release on April 7, 2017. Plot Ten years since high school graduation, deli clerk Corey Swanson (Chris Marquette) still lives in the shadow of the humiliating public rejection of his marriage proposal to high school sweetheart Sheena DeWilde (Amanda Crew). Sheena is now a successful, if troubled, Pro-Wrestler, and is returning to town for their high school reunion. Lance Timothy Evers (; born April 3, 1969), known professionally by his ring name Lance Storm, is a Canadians, Canadian retired Professional wrestling, professional wrestler. Bret Hart (born July 2, 1957) is a Canadian-American retired professional wrestler, currently signed to WWE under a legend's contract. David Smith (27 November 1962 – 18 May 2002) was an English professional wrestler. Born in Golborne, Lancashire, Smith is best known for his appearances in the United States with the World Wrestling Federation under the ring names Davey Boy Smith and The British Bulldog. Regina Exhibition Stadium, also known as Regina Stadium and Queen City Gardens, was an indoor arena at Evraz Place in Regina, Saskatchewan. Constructed in 1919, the venue was home arena of the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League before the construction of the Agridome in 1977. The venue was notable for its use in agricultural exhibitions, sporting events, as well as concerts, having hosted acts such as The Beach Boys, Buddy Holly, Chuck Barry's ''Biggest Show of Stars'' tour, and Johnny Cash among others. Jack Hamilton served as president of the Regina Rink Company which raised funds to install an artificial ice maker in the Regina Stadium. Lumsden, Saskatchewan
Lumsden is a town in the Qu'Appelle Valley in south central Saskatchewan, Canada, 31 km northwest of the city of Regina. It is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Lumsden No. 189. The town functions as both a farming community and an unofficial suburb of Regina. Lumsden has an active artistic community, which consists of many writers, painters and sculptors. History Settlers first arrived in 1881 and the area came to be commonly known as Happy Hollow. When the Qu'Appelle, Long Lake and Saskatchewan Railway came through the community in 1889, the name was changed to Lumsden after Hugh Lumsden, a senior engineer with the railroad.
