Chinna Poove Mella Pesu
''Chinna Poove Mella Pesu'' () is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Robert–Rajasekar. The film stars Prabhu, Ramki, Narmadha, Sudha Chandran and Sabitha Anand. The film, produced by S. K. Rajagopal, had musical score by S. A. Rajkumar and was released on 17 April 1987. The film became highly successful at the box office. The film also marked the debut of actor Ramki and composer S. A. Rajkumar. Plot Raja, a clever student, challenges Rekha, a rich and arrogant girl, to become the number one student. She loses her challenge but she falls in love with Raja. David, a former student, is now an alcoholic. During his college days, he fell in love with Esther but Shanthi was in love with David. Michael, Esther's father, was against their love so he beat David to death and Esther then committed suicide. Later, David survived. Robert–Rajasekar
Robert–Rajasekar was an Indian filmmaking duo consisting of Robert Asirvatham and S. Rajasekar. They were active in film direction and cinematography in Tamil cinema of the 1980s. The duo are regarded to have ushered a "new wave" in Tamil cinema. Career In the 1970s, Robert Asirvatham and S. Rajasekar graduated as cameramen from the Madras Film Institute. They debuted as cinematographers with ''Kudisai'' (1979), a low budget film directed by Jayabharathi, also from the institute. Robert–Rajasekar's next film was to be ''Naalai Ulagam Namadhe'', which was never completed. They were later hired to work in ''Oru Thalai Ragam'' (1980), which emerged a major success and a breakthrough in their career. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture.
