Chevry (; frp, Chevri) is a commune in the Ain department, in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, eastern France.Commune de Chevry (01103)
INSEE Chevry's inhabitants are called Chevrysiens. Chevry is located between Gex and , on the departmental highway RD984, which is the primary access to the town. It is twenty minutes from the Swiss border near Geneva. The commune also includes the villages of Veraz (to the east) and Naz-Dessous (to the north). The town has several rivers: the Great Journans, Petit Journans, the Allondon and Janvoin.

Gex, Ain
Gex (; frp, Gèx; it, Gesio) is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France and a subprefecture of the department. It lies from the Swiss border and from Geneva. It is a subprefecture of Ain. History The town gave its name to the ''Pays de Gex'', at various times under the jurisdiction of France, Switzerland and the Duchy of Savoy. The future site of Gex was inhabited around 1800 BC. Around 220 BC, a group of Gallic warriors known as the Gaesatae reside in the area around Gex. Afterwards, the town was part of Roman Gaul. In 1252, Léonette of Geneva, Lady of Gex, descendant of the count of Geneva, Amadeus I, married Simon of Joinville, son of Simon of Joinville and Beatrix of Auxonne, Lady of Marnay. Saint-Genis-Pouilly (; frp, Sant-Genés-Polyi) is a commune in the Ain department within the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of eastern France.
