The Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center (RGC) is a state prison for men located in Jackson, Michigan, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan, owned and operated by the Michigan Department of Corrections. RGC houses a maximum of 1382 inmates at a mix of security levels, for the assessment, screening, and classification of all male state prisoners. Jackson is the only city and county seat of Jackson County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 33,534, down from 36,316 at the 2000 census.
