Chalkidona F.C.
Chalkidona Football Club (today A.O. Chalkidona, former Chalkidona-Near East F.C.) is a Greek football club based in Nikaia, in the neighbourhood Chalkidona. The club achieved to play in A Ethniki for two seasons ( 2003-04 and 2004-05). At the end of the season 2004-05, Chalkidona merged with Atromitos F.C. In fact, Atromitos absorbed Chalkidona and replaced it in the championship. Next, Chalkidona restarted as amateur club and it plays in local Piraeus championship (EPSP). The team's colours are yellow and black (or sometimes blue) and the emblem is the Double-headed eagle. History Chalkidona was founded in 1930, originally under the name PAO Chalkidon. At the post war period the club merged with Near East Nikaia and was named Chalkidona Near East. The first success was the season 1960-61 when the club played in B Ethniki (second tier) but relegated immediately. Nikaia ( el, Νίκαια, ''Níkaia''), known before 1940 as Kokkinia (, ''Kokkiniá''), is a suburb of Piraeus, in the southwestern part of the Athens Urban Area, Greece. Nikos Nioplias
Nikos Nioplias ( el, Νίκος Νιόπλιας; born 17 January 1965) is a Greek professional football manager and former player. Playing career Club His career began with OFI Crete in 1983, winning the Greek Cup in 1987, and he remained for a decade before moving to Panathinaikos. In his first season, he won the cup again and in 1994–95 they completed the domestic double. The next season the Athens side retained the title and Nioplias was a member of the team which reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in 1995. Pierre Romain Owono Ebéde (born 9 February 1980) is a Cameroonian former professional association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Dimosthenis Manousakis (Greek: Δημοσθένης Μανουσάκης; born 19 January 1981) is a Greek former professional footballer. Career Manousakis began his professional career by signing with Skoda Xanthi F.C. in July 1998. Thanasis Intzoglou (22 August 1945 – 25 July 2020) was a Greek footballer who played as a forward. Club career Intzoglou played at the youth level with Chalkidona. In 1962, he played in the Alpha Ethniki with Panionios, and was the league's top goal scorer for the 1967–68 season. He assisted in securing the 1971 Balkans Cup for Panionios by defeating Besa Kavajë. Throughout his tenure with Panionios he featured in the 1969–70 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, and the 1971–72 UEFA Cup. In the summer of 1974 he played abroad in the National Soccer League with Toronto Homer, and he returned for 1975 season.
