Cathedral High School is a Roman Catholic coeducational parochial high school located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. One of the four high schools in the St. Cloud area, as of September 2022, Cathedral High School enrolls approximately 750 students grades 6-12. Cathedral High School employs 53 faculty members, 100% of which hold bachelor's degrees. The faculty to student ratio is 1:14. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint Cloud. History Cathedral High School was established in 1902 when Sister Eleanor Irving, O.S.B. opened a 25-student coeducational school. In 1914, the administration began constructing a new building to house the school. As the school grew, in 1938 another new building (the present-day "Center Building") began construction. St. Cloud is a city in the U.S. state of Minnesota and the largest population center in the state's central region. The population was 68,881 at the 2020 census, making it Minnesota's 12th-largest city. Link Crew is a North American student leadership program. Its focus is on making select individuals from the Junior and Senior classes, known as "Link Leaders," into mentors for freshmen and new students. Link Crew operates in 3,705 schools in 47 U.S. states. The U.S. trained 11,424 Link Crew educators. Canada has 1,712 trained educators spread across seven schools. Link Crew has benefited 1.8 million students. The training process consists of team building, cooperative skill development, discussion skills, situation scenarios, and other activities. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship (academic achievement), leadership, service, and character. Knowledge Bowl is the name for several interdisciplinary academic quiz bowl-like competitions across the United States and the world. The questions for many Knowledge Bowl competitions are supplied by the Academic Hallmarks company of Durango, Colorado. While Knowledge Bowl meet formats are mostly similar across the United States, there are a few regional differences. Knowledge Bowl usually involves teams of four to six students trying to answer questions in a written round and several oral rounds. No team is eliminated in this event, and every team participates in every round. Knowledge Bowl is usually a power competition in which team groupings are rearranged after each round on the basis of their total points accumulated. John Joseph Frederick Otto Zardetti ( January 24, 1847 – May 10, 1902) was a Swiss prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Bucharest in what is today Romania from 1894 to 1895. Zardetti previously served as the first bishop of the new Diocese of Saint Cloud in Minnesota in the United States from 1889 to 1894. After resigning as archbishop, Zardetti briefly served in the Roman Curia with the title of titular archbishop of Mocissus.
