Captain John Hart (Torchwood)
Captain John Hart, played by James Marsters, is a fictional character from the BBC science fiction television programme ''Torchwood''. He is introduced in the episode " Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang"—the first episode of ''Torchwood''s second series. Whilst the character has not featured subsequently to the second series finale, he went on to appear in a '' Torchwood Magazine'' comic strip and Marsters has stated his interest in reprising the role on more than one occasion. In his first appearance, John Hart is as a rogue Time Agent and former partner of the series' lead male character Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) both professionally and sexually. Whilst the original function of the Time Agency—stated to have ceased operation by the time Hart appears —is left unspecified, John's own backstory is briefly given: as well as having had a relationship with Jack, he has been in rehab for an addiction to alcohol, drugs, sex and murder. Gwen Cooper
Gwen Cooper is a fictional character portrayed by Welsh actress Eve Myles in the BBC science-fiction television programme ''Torchwood'', a spin-off of the long-running series ''Doctor Who''. The lead female character, Gwen featured in every episode of the show's 2006–2011 run, as well as two 2008 crossover episodes of ''Doctor Who''. Gwen appears in Expanded Universe material such as the ''Torchwood'' novels and audiobooks, comic books and radio plays. Gareth David-Lloyd
Gareth David Lloyd (born 28 March 1981), known professionally as Gareth David-Lloyd, is a Welsh actor and writer best known for his role as Ianto Jones in the British science fiction series ''Torchwood.'' Early life He was born in Bettws, Newport. David-Lloyd's first acting role was as a robot in a junior school play. As a teenager, he joined the Gwent Young People's Theatre in Abergavenny and The Dolman Youth Theatre in Newport. While there, he appeared in several plays, including ''Macbeth'', ''The Threepenny Opera'' and ''Henry V'', in which he played the title role. Gareth studied Performing Arts at Crosskeys College in South Wales. When former Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock saw the young David-Lloyd performing at Monmouth Castle, he sent him £250 to use towards his acting career. ''Torchwood: Miracle Day'' is the fourth and final series of the British television science fiction, British science fiction television programme ''Torchwood'', a spin-off from the long-running show ''Doctor Who''.
