Cape Cod Bluefins
The New York Bluefins were a professional hockey team in the Federal Hockey League (FHL) based in New York. They started their inaugural 2010–11 season as the Broome County Barons with home games in the Chenango Ice Rink in Chenango, New York. The team was owned by the commissioner of the FHL, Don Kirnan. The Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) is a professional ice hockey independent minor league with teams in the Midwestern, Southern, and Northeastern United States. The FPHL began operations in November 2010 as the Federal Hockey League. Don Kirnan is the league's commissioner. Chenango Ice Rink
The Ice House Sports Complex is a 1,200-seat ice rink located in Chenango, New York. The Ice House is home to the Binghamton University Bearcats club ice hockey team competing in the American Collegiate Hockey Association as members of the Northeast Collegiate Hockey League, and was the 2010-11 home of the Broome County Barons playing in Federal Hockey League (FHL), a minor professional ice hockey league. Chenango is a town in Broome County, New York, United States. The population was 10,983 at the 2020 census. The town is in the eastern part of the county, northeast of Binghamton. History The area was first settled ''circa'' 1787, and the Town of Chenango was established in 1791 before the formation of Broome County.
