Caihongqiao Station
Caihongqiao Station is a station on Line 8 of the Guangzhou Metro. It is situated underground near the Southwest gate of the Liuhua Lake Park. Due to construction delays, the station could not open with the rest of the northern extension of Line 8 in 2020 and was hence delayed to open on 28 September 2 years later. Liwan District
Liwan District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China. The district is split into two parts by the Pearl River: Xiguan in the northeast and Fangcun in the southwest. History Liwan District was named after "Lizhiwan", which is derived from poem of "a bay of green water and red lychees along both banks". Cross-platform Interchange
A cross-platform interchange is a type of interchange between different lines at a metro (or other railway) station. The term originates with the London Underground; such layouts exist in other networks but are not commonly so named. In the United States, it is often referred to as a cross-platform transfer. This configuration occurs at a station with island platforms, with a single platform in between the tracks allocated to two directions of travel, or two side platforms between the tracks, connected by level corridors. The benefit of this design is that passengers do not need to use stairs to another platform level for transfer. Line 13 of the Guangzhou Metro is a rapid transit rail line currently in operation as of 28 December 2017 in Guangzhou, China. It is envisioned to be the "East West express line" complementing Line 3 which is the "North South express line". The line serves some of the most popular areas in Guangzhou such as Luochongwai Bus Terminal, Zhujiang New Town CBD and Yuancun while passing through some of the densest and most populated areas of Tianhe, Yuexiu, and Liwan Districts. Due to the density of the areas served, demand for this line is expected to be high, with an average mature daily ridership predicted at 1.44 million passengers per day when both phases are complete.
