CSUF Titans
The Cal State Fullerton Titans (also known as CSUF or Fullerton Titans) are the athletic teams that represent California State University, Fullerton. The Titans are a member of the NCAA Division I level. The Titans compete within the Big West Conference (BWC) for most sports. Nickname The Cal State Fullerton official team nickname is the "Titans." The nickname was chosen in a vote by the students. History CSUF has won 13 national championships in eight different sports. Sports sponsored Baseball Baseball is Cal State Fullerton's strongest sport based on winning the most national championships at the university and consistently being rated among the nation's elite baseball programs. California State University, Fullerton (CSUF or Cal State Fullerton) is a public university in Fullerton, California. With a total enrollment of more than 41,000, it has the largest student body of the 23-campus California State University (CSU) system, and its graduate student body of more than 5,000 is one of the largest in the CSU and in all of California. As of fall 2016, the school had 2,083 faculty, of which 782 were on the tenure track. The university offers 109 degree programs: 55 undergraduate degrees and 54 graduate degrees, including three doctorates. 2008 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2008 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament involved 65 schools playing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball as a culmination of the 2007–08 basketball season. 1978 NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament
The 1978 NCAA Division I basketball tournament involved 32 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. Dedrique Taylor
Dedrique LaMonte Taylor (born May 1, 1974) is the current college basketball head coach for Cal State Fullerton. He is also a former Arizona State associate head men's basketball coach and a college assistant coach. Early life and education After graduating from Pomona High School in Pomona, California in 1992, Taylor began his college basketball career at Kings River Community College (now Reedley College). He then transferred to NCAA Division II school Armstrong Atlantic State University (now Armstrong State University) in 1994 and played his last two seasons at UC Davis from 1995 to 1997. Rick Vanderhook
Richard Dean Vanderhook (born May 13, 1961) is a former American baseball coach and infielder. He played college baseball at Cerritos College for head coach George Horton from 1982 to 1983 prior to transferring to Cal State Fullerton where he played for head coach Augie Garrido from 1983 to 1984. Vanderhook helped Cal State Fullerton's 1984 national championship team. Following his playing career, Vanderhook became an assistant coach at Cal State Fullerton from 1985–1988, Cal State Northridge Matadors from 1989–1990, Cal State Fullerton again from 1991–2007, and UCLA Bruins The UCLA Bruins are the athletic teams that represent the University of California, Los Angeles. 1995 College World Series
The 1995 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was played at the end of the 1995 NCAA Division I baseball season to determine the national champion of college baseball. The tournament concluded with eight teams competing in the College World Series, a double-elimination tournament in its forty ninth year.
