CHOI-FM is a French-language FM radio station that broadcasts on the frequency 98.1 MHz out of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, with a talk format. Locally, it is known as ''Radio X'' (a reference to "Generation X", as most of CHOI's listeners consider themselves). It has been owned by Genex Communications since July 1996. The Bureau of Broadcast Measurement ratings released in December 2004 revealed that CHOI was the most popular radio station in the city with 443,100 listeners, up from 380,500 earlier in the year. The station is well known for airing controversial ideas and populist opinions. CITF-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Owned and operated by Bell Media, it broadcasts on 107.5 MHz with an effective radiated power of 37,000 watts ( class C1) using an omnidirectional antenna. The station's transmitter is located at Mount Bélair. The station has an adult contemporary format since 1990 and is part of the "Rouge FM" network which operates across Quebec and Eastern Ontario. CITF-FM started operations on July 22, 1982 as a sister station to the now-defunct CKCV 1280 with a beautiful music format. The latter closed in September 1990, as part of a failed attempt of Telemedia (then owner of both stations) to buy CHRC 800, as at the time owners were limited to only one AM station and one FM station per market. Énergie
Énergie is a Canadian radio network of French-language mainstream rock outlets broadcasting throughout the province of Quebec and portions of eastern Ontario, in Eastern Canada. They offer a personality-driven mix of francophone and anglophone classic rock and alternative rock songs, catering to a young adult audience. ''For the radio station in Saint John, New Brunswick, see CJRP-FM.'' CJRP was a French-language Canadian radio station located in Quebec City, Quebec. It operated from 1959 to 1994. The station broadcast on 1060 kHz, using a daytime power of 50,000 watts and a nighttime power of 10,000 watts as a class B station, using a directional antenna with different patterns day and night to protect KYW in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. CJRP was originally known as CJLR and went on the air as an independent station owned by Jacques La Roche (hence the call sign) on October 24, 1959. It originally had a power of 5,000 watts full-time and used a single directional pattern at all times. Power was increased to 10,000 watts full-time in 1962. Mount Bélair
Mount Bélair is a peak in the Laurentian Mountains, Quebec, Canada, with an altitude of . It is located in the Val-Bélair section of Quebec City, approximately west of downtown. Activities Mount Bélair is a popular site for outdoor activities. Year round, the summit offers a panoramic view from which one can see downtown Québec, and portions of the trail employ raised wooden walkways. In the autumn, it is decorated with the ornate colors of the boreal forest. In winter, available activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and walking.
