Polyceridae
The Polyceridae are a taxonomic family of sea slugs, dorid nudibranchs, marine gastropod mollusks within the superfamily Polyceroidea. Taxonomy The family Polyceridae is classified within the clade Doridacea, itself belonging to the clade Euctenidiacea within the clade Nudipleura (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). Lecithophorus
The ghost nudibranch, ''Lecithophorus capensis'', is a species of dorid nudibranch, and is only found in South Africa. It is a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Polyceridae. It is the sole species of the genus ''Lecithophorus''. Distribution This species is endemic to the South African coast and is found on both sides of the Cape Peninsula from the intertidal to at least 30 m.
