Sports Entertainment Group (SEG), formerly Pacific Star Network, is an Australian sports media content and entertainment business. SEG is the owner and parent company of Sports Entertainment Network (SEN). History After going through a number of name changes in the 1990s and early 2000s, the company was known as Pacific Star Network for 16 years. In December 2014, Pacific Star Network acquired Morrison Media Services, the publisher of Frankie (magazine), Frankie Magazine and Smith Journal. They sold Morrison Media Services to Nextmedia in September 2018. In January 2018, Pacific Star Network acquired 100 per cent of equity in Sports Entertainment Network, Crocmedia. In September 2020, Pacific Star Network rebranded Crocmedia as Sports Entertainment Network (SEN). Two months later, Pacific Star Network changed its name to Sports Entertainment Group (SEG). The Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa is a women's professional basketball league in New Zealand. History In December 2021, a new women's national basketball league was established for 2022 with five new franchises. The league's name ''Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa'' was announced in March 2022, with Tauihi meaning "to soar" and Aotearoa meaning New Zealand in Māori language. The inaugural teams included Northern Kāhu, Mid-North Whai, Tokomanawa Queens, Mainland Pouākai, and Southern Hoiho. The Queens were crowned the inaugural champions. SEN Track
SEN Track is an Australian radio network operated by Sports Entertainment Network, a division of Pacific Star Network. The network launched on 28 March 2020 and broadcasts live coverage of horse, thoroughbred and greyhound racing to nine cities and towns in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia. It is a sister network to the Melbourne-based 1116 SEN. History SEN Track was born out of SEN+, which commenced broadcasting in Melbourne on 13 August 2018. The station was a simulcast of the 1116 SEN service, opting out for coverage of sports including the NFL, VFL, NBL and Super Rugby. 1116 SEN (call sign 3AK) is an Australian radio station in Victoria, Australia. Owned and operated by Sports Entertainment Group, it broadcasts a sports radio format. It commenced broadcasting on 29 November 1931 as 3AK, the station currently broadcasts from studios in South Melbourne. History The station first broadcast on 29 November 1931 as 3AK. In October 2003, amid growing debt and struggling ratings, 3AK operators Data & Commerce Limited placed the station up for sale. In November, owners Data & Commerce Limited entered into a lease with the newly formed Sports Entertainment Network to create SEN 1116, a 24-hour sports radio station. 2025 New Zealand NBL Season
The 2025 NBL season is the 44th season of the National Basketball League. The competition increased to 12 teams in 2025 with the debut of the Indian Panthers, but later decreased to 11 teams in May following the withdrawal of the Panthers. Mark Arena (born 28 September 1984) is an Australian businessman and cyber security entrepreneur. He co-founded Intel 471 in 2014 and became majority owner of the Perth Wildcats basketball team in 2024. Early life Arena was born in Perth, Western Australia. The Perth Lynx are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia. The Lynx compete in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) and play their home games at both WA Basketball Centre, Bendat Basketball Centre and Perth High Performance Centre.
