Cut Copy (sometimes stylised as Cut/Copy) are an Australian synth-pop band formed in 2001 by Dan Whitford (vocals, keyboards and guitar). Originally a home-recording project, the band now includes Tim Hoey (guitars), Ben Browning (bass guitar), and Mitchell Scott (drums). The band achieved breakthrough success in 2008 with their second album, ''In Ghost Colours'', which included well-known singles "Lights & Music" and "Hearts on Fire (Cut Copy song), Hearts on Fire". History Formation Cut Copy was established in 2001 in Melbourne, Australia as the solo project of Dan Whitford, a DJ and graphic designer. Hearts On Fire (Cut Copy Song)
"Hearts on Fire" is a song by Australian electronic music band Cut Copy, released in 2007 as the lead single from their second studio album, ''In Ghost Colours'' (2008). The song's chorus contains a small vocal sample from Jennifer Lopez's "Waiting for Tonight". A re-edited version of the song, produced by Tim Goldsworthy, was released on 5 July 2008 and served as the album version. Pitchfork Media named "Hearts on Fire" the seventh best track of 2008. Music video The music video, directed by Nagi Noda and shot on location in Japan, portrays a lovelorn frontman Dan Whitford suffering from a breakup. He is constantly followed by a rainy cloud hanging over his head, which represents his sadness. After time goes by (demonstrated by the growth of his dog), he finally lets go of the pain and continues his life without the rain following him, until the very end of the video during which he runs into his ex-girlfriend, causing the rain to resume. Falls Festival
Falls Music & Arts Festival (commonly known as Falls) is a multi-day music festival held annually in Byron Bay (New South Wales) and Fremantle (Western Australia), Australia over the New Year's Eve and January period. The festival hosts contemporary music performances, dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other art forms. Camping is available and all locations have nearby beaches which are either walking distance or a short bus ride away. Myles MacInnes (born 10 May 1978), better known by his stage name Mylo, is a Scottish electronic musician and record producer. His 2004 album '' Destroy Rock & Roll'' peaked at number 26 on the UK Albums Chart. He is best known for his 2005 single " Doctor Pressure", a mashup of his own track "Drop the Pressure" and Miami Sound Machine's 1984 song " Dr. Beat"; it peaked at number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. Bloc Party are an English Rock music, rock band that was formed in London, England, London in 1999 by co-founders Kele Okereke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano, sampler) and Russell Lissack (lead guitar). The Presets are an Australian electronic music duo of Julian Hamilton (vocals, keyboards) and Kim Moyes (drums, keyboards). Franz Ferdinand are a Scottish Rock music, rock band formed in Glasgow in 2002. Cassius was a French musical duo active from 1988 to 2019 and consisting of producers Philippe Cerboneschi and Hubert Blanc-Francard, better known as Zdar and Boombass (or sometimes Philippe Zdar and Hubert Boombass).
