Curved Air
Curved Air are an English progressive rock group formed in 1970 by musicians from mixed artistic backgrounds, including classical, folk and electronic sound. The resulting sound of the band is a mixture of progressive rock, folk rock, and fusion with classical elements. Curved Air released eight studio albums, the first three of which broke into the Top 20 in the UK Albums Chart, and had a hit single with " Back Street Luv" (1971) which reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart. Galt MacDermot
Arthur Terence Galt MacDermot (December 18, 1928 – December 17, 2018) was a Canadian-American composer, pianist and writer of musical theater. He won a Grammy Award for the song "African Waltz" in 1960. His most successful musicals were ''Hair (musical), Hair'' (1967; its cast album also won a Grammy) and ''Two Gentlemen of Verona (musical), Two Gentlemen of Verona'' (1971). MacDermot also composed film soundtracks, jazz and funk albums, and classical music. His music has been sampled in numerous hip-hop songs and albums. Spirit was an American rock band founded in 1967 and based in Los Angeles. Their most commercially successful single in the United States was " I Got a Line on You". The Official Albums Chart is the United Kingdom's industry-recognised national record chart for album, albums. Entries are ranked by sales and audio streaming. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on ''UKChartsPlus'' as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders.
