The Crystal Skate of Romania is an annual senior-level international figure skating competition, held in Romania. Zoltán Tóth (figure Skater)
Zoltán Tóth (born 24 August 1979) is a Hungarian former competitive figure skater. He is a five-time Hungarian national champion and competed in two Winter Olympics. Personal life Zoltán Tóth was born on 24 August 1979 in Debrecen, Hungary. Career Tóth began skating in 1988. Early in his career, he was coached by András Száraz. Zsófia Kulcsár became his coach in 1998. Tóth became Hungary's senior national champion for the first time in the 2000–01 season. He represented Vasas Skating Club in Budapest. The following season, he competed at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, placing 25th. His highest ISU Championship placement, 17th, came at the 2003 Europeans in Malmö, Sweden. Alexei Bychenko
Alexei Bychenko ( he, אלכסיי ביצ'נקו; uk, Олексій Юрійович Биченко; born 5 February 1988) is a retired Ukrainian-born Israeli figure skater. He represented Ukraine through 2009 and Israel after that. He is the 2016 European Figure Skating Championships silver medalist and 2016 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist. He is the first Israeli skater to medal at the European Championships. He placed fourth at 2018 Worlds. Bychenko competed for Israel at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympics. Early and personal life Bychenko was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and is Jewish. Mark Vaillant
Mark Vaillant (born September 8, 1989 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a French former figure skater. He is a two-time Crystal Skate of Romania medalist and a two-time French national junior bronze medalist. At the 2009 World Junior Championships, he qualified to the free skate and finished 18th overall. Earlier in his career, he competed in domestic events in the United States as a single skater and as a pair skater with Mariclair Vaillant. Vaillant holds dual French-American citizenship. He attended Sciences Po Paris before working in emerging markets at Goldman Sachs in London and more recently as a VP in a similar role at Morgan Stanley. Samuel Contesti (born 4 March 1983) is a French-Italian former competitive figure skater. He originally competed for France, then switched to Italy after the 2006–07 season. He is the 2009 European silver medalist and a five-time Italian national champion (2008–12). Personal life Samuel Contesti's father, Yves, was a professional football player in Ligue 1. He has two older sisters. Contesti married Geraldine Zulini in February 2007 and their son, Ennio, was born in June 2009. Their second child was born in 2012. Career Contesti initially competed for France, placing ninth at the 2005 European Championships and 26th at Worlds the same year. The next season, he placed 5th at Trophée Eric Bompard and 2nd at French Nationals but did not compete at Europeans or Worlds.
