Sports Entertainment Network (SEN), formerly Crocmedia, is an Australian radio and television distribution company established in 2006 by journalists James Swanwick and Craig Hutchison. SEN's parent company is Sports Entertainment Group (SEG), formerly Pacific Star Network. SEN owns broadcast rights to AFL, A-League Men and A-League Women matches and Socceroos and Matildas home games. In 2016, it signed a $10 million six-year deal with the AFL for the national radio broadcasting rights for all AFL games. Sports Entertainment Group (SEG) (formerly Pacific Star Network) is an Australian sports media content and entertainment business. SEG is the owner and parent company of Sports Entertainment Network (SEN). In December 2014, Pacific Star Network acquired Morrison Media Services, the publisher of Frankie Magazine and Smith Journal. They sold Morrison Media Services to Nextmedia in September 2018. In January 2018, Pacific Star Network acquired 100 per cent of equity in Crocmedia. In September 2020, Pacific Star Network rebranded Crocmedia as Sports Entertainment Network. Two months later, Pacific Star Network changed its name to Sports Entertainment Group. Under Pacific Star Network and Crocmedia, the company owned 25 percent of National Basketball League (NBL) team Melbourne United between 2018 and 2021. SEN Track
SEN Track is an Australian radio network operated by Sports Entertainment Network, a division of Pacific Star Network. The network launched on 28 March 2020 and broadcasts live coverage of horse, thoroughbred and greyhound racing to nine cities and towns in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia. It is a sister network to the Melbourne-based 1116 SEN. History SEN Track was born out of SEN+, which commenced broadcasting in Melbourne on 13 August 2018. The station was a simulcast of the 1116 SEN service, opting out for coverage of sports including the NFL, VFL, NBL and Super Rugby. 1116 SEN (call sign 3AK) is an Australian radio station in Victoria. Owned and operated by Pacific Star Network, it broadcasts a sports radio format from Lower Plenty to Greater Melbourne. First broadcast on 29 November 1931 as 3AK, the station currently broadcasts from studios in South Melbourne. History The station first broadcast on 29 November 1931 as 3AK. In October 2003, amid growing debt and struggling ratings, 3AK operators Data & Commerce Limited placed the station up for sale. In November, owners Data & Commerce Limited entered into a lease with the newly formed Sports Entertainment Network to create SEN 1116, a 24-hour sports radio station. Craig Hutchison (broadcaster)
Craig Hutchison (born 4 December 1974) is an Australian journalist, sports broadcaster and businessman. Based in Melbourne, Hutchison often covers AFL topics and breaking news stories relating to the code. Early life and career Hutchinson was born in Warragul, Victoria. He commenced his career as a journalist in 1994 as a cadet with the ''Herald Sun'' newspaper. Two years later, he moved to Sport 927, where he was producer of the '' Kevin Bartlett and Dr Turf Big Sports Breakfast Show'' for approximately one year. Sandy Roberts
Sandy Roberts (born 22 February 1950) is a veteran sports presenter and commentator formerly working on television for Fox Sports Australia and radio with Crocmedia. He was a long-time personality of the Seven Network for four decades, notably part of the Seven Sport Olympics coverage as a host for more than 20 years. Career Roberts' career started at Perth radio station 6PM, after a short stint as a copyboy for the Adelaide ''News''. Roberts then travelled extensively throughout Europe for two years, before returning to Australia, where he joined Radio 3CS Colac as an announcer. James Swanwick (born 1975) is an Australian-American investor, entrepreneur, speaker, health & wellness coach and former ''SportsCenter'' anchor on ESPN.
