	Cindy Courville Dr. Cindy Lou Courville (born 1954) was the U.S. Ambassador to the African Union from 2006 to 2008. Previously she was Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for African Affairs at the National Security Council where she helped craft United States policy towards Africa. Early life and education Courville was raised in Opelousas, Louisiana and served as secretary of her town's NAACP chapter when she was 15 years old. Her father worked for International Harvester while her mother was a seamstress and cook at Courville's childhood school. 	Joachim Thibault De Courville Joachim Thibault de Courville (died 1581) was a French composer, singer, lutenist, and player of the lyre, of the late Renaissance. He was a close associate of poet Jean Antoine de Baïf, and with Baïf was the co-founder of the ''Académie de Poésie et de Musique'', which attempted to re-create the storied ethical and moral effect of ancient Greek music through a type of vocal musical composition known as ''musique mesurée.'' Very little is known of Courville's life prior to his association with Baïf. Sometime in the mid-1560s Courville made the acquaintance of the famous poet, who was so impressed with his playing and singing that he called him "the master of the art of singing well." During this period Courville was employed as official lyre-player to King Charles IX. 	Larry Courville Larry P. Courville (born April 2, 1975) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. Over the course of his career, Courville spent parts of three seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). From 2009 to 2017, he served as head coach of the Reading Royals of the ECHL. Born in Timmins, Ontario, Courville was originally drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the fifth round (119th overall) of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He had an excellent final OHL season in 1994–95 in which he scored 73 points and was a key component of Canada's gold medal-winning team at the 1995 World Junior Championships, but was unable to come to contract terms with Winnipeg. As a result, he re-entered the draft and was selected 61st overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1995 NHL draft. 	Vince Courville Vincent Eric Courville (born December 5, 1959) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a member of the Houston Gamblers in the United States Football League and the New York Knights in the Arena Football League. He played college football at Rice University. Early years Courville attended Ball High School, where he practiced football and track. He enrolled at Ranger College. After one year he transferred to Texas Southern University, where he practiced football and track. As a sophomore, he was voted the Southwest Athletic Conference Track Man of the Year.
