Coupé Utility
A coupé utility is a vehicle with a passenger compartment at the front and an integrated tray#cargo tray, cargo tray at the rear, with the front of the cargo bed doubling as the rear of the passenger compartment. The term originated in the 1930s, where it was used to distinguish passenger-car-based two-door vehicles with an integrated cargo tray from traditional pickup trucks that have a cargo bed separate from the passenger compartment. Since the 2000s, this type of vehicle has also been referred to as a "pick-up", "car-based pick-up" or "car-based truck". In Australia, where the traditional style of coupé utility remained popular until it ceased production in 2017, it is commonly called a "ute (vehicle), ute". The Ford Falcon is a model line of cars that was produced by Ford from the 1960 to 1970 model years. A hatchback is a car body style, car body configuration with a rear door that swings upward to provide access to the main interior of the car as a cargo area rather than just to a separated trunk. Hatchbacks may feature fold-down second-row seating, where the interior can be reconfigured to prioritize passenger or cargo volume. Dodge Omni 024
The Dodge Omni 024 is a version of the Dodge Omni made from 1979 to 1982. The car is a lower, sportier three-door hatchback coupé version of the Chrysler/Simca Horizon, using the five-door hatchback's floor pan and chassis as a basis, a similar formula to the Volkswagen Scirocco. The cars were designed in-house at the prompting of Lee Iacocca. The Omni 024 used the same chassis and engine options as the Omni but had unique bodywork and front end styling. The base engine was a 1.7 L Volkswagen inline four producing , with a 2.2 L, Chrysler inline four as an option beginning in 1981. By then, the smaller engine only produced . For the first year, the car had a folding back seat and the wheels were painted in the exterior color. GMC Sprint / Caballero
The GMC Sprint is a coupe utility/ pickup that was produced by GMC for the 1971–1977 model years. The Sprint was renamed Caballero for the 1978 model year, and produced through 1987. The rear-wheel-drive car-based pickups were sold by GMC Truck dealers primarily in the United States and Canada as the GMC version of the Chevrolet El Camino.
