Corey Maynard
Corey Maynard (born 7 October 1991) is an Australian former professional sportsman who played basketball and Australian rules football. He played college basketball for Bryant University before playing professionally in the National Basketball League (NBL) for the Cairns Taipans and Townsville Crocodiles. He switched to football in 2016 to play in the Australian Football League (AFL) for the Melbourne Football Club. He retired in 2019. Early life Born in Adelaide, South Australia, Maynard moved with his family to Melbourne when he was seven. He started playing representative basketball for McKinnon Basketball Association from under 12s, leading numerous Cougar teams in the Victorian Championship (VC) division within the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL) up until under 18s. South East Australian Basketball League
The South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) was an Australian semi-professional basketball league. The league comprised both a men's and women's competition and was run by the country's governing body, Basketball Australia. The league was one and the same with the Australian Basketball Association (ABA) from its inception in 1981 until 1993. Korisliiga
The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The top six teams advances continues to upper stage and the bottom six teams plays lower stage after 22 games, 5 games at home and 5 games at away versus all other teams in stage. New Zealand Breakers
The New Zealand Breakers (also known as the Sky Sport Breakers for sponsorship reasons) are a New Zealand professional basketball team based in Auckland. The Breakers compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at multiple venues, mainly Spark Arena. The team was founded in 2003 by three Waikato businessmen, Dallas Fisher, Michael Redman and Keith Ward, and remains the only team in the league to compete from New Zealand. The team was bought by Liz and Paul Blackwell in 2005. 2015–16 NBL Season
The 2015–16 NBL season was the 38th season of competition since its establishment in 1979. A total of eight teams contested the league. The regular season was played between 7 October 2015 and 14 February 2016, followed by a post-season featuring the top four in late February and March 2016. During the off-season the Wollongong Hawks reverted to their original name Illawarra Hawks which was last used in 1998. Australian broadcast rights to the season are held by Fox Sports, in the first year of a five-year deal, with one game per week simulcast on the Nine Network. Nathan Adam Sobey (born 14 July 1990) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Brisbane Bullets of the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL). The Perth Wildcats are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia.
