Cordell Cleare
Cordell Cleare (born December 5, 1965) is an American activist and politician from Harlem, New York City. A member of the Democratic Party, she has been politically active in Harlem since the late 1990s and is currently the state-senator for New York's 30th State Senate district. Early life Cordell Cleare was raised in Harlem, where her family lived for four generations. She attended and graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School then attended and graduated from SUNY Empire State College in Manhattan. Career Cleare worked for over 18 years for New York State Senator Bill Perkins and served as his Chief of Staff for several years. Cordell Cato (born July 15, 1992) is a Trinidadian footballer who last played for Oklahoma City Energy FC in the USL Championship. Career On January 17, 2012 it was announced that Cato had signed with Seattle Sounders. After making 8 competitive appearances in one season, the Sounders declined to pick up a contract option on Cato. Cato's MLS rights were traded to the San Jose Earthquakes on March 1, 2013. Cato's time with the Earthquakes came to an end when his contract expired on December 31, 2017. After his release by San Jose, he trialed with the Earthquakes' arch-rivals LA Galaxy, but ultimately was not signed. Cordell Barker (born 1956) is a Canadian animator based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He began animating in his late teens after taking on an apprenticeship at Kenn Perkins Animation. A two-time Academy Award nominee, Barker is an animation filmmaker with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). National Film Board of Canada Earlier in his career, Barker did animation work on fellow Winnipeg animator Brad Caslor's NFB short, '' Get a Job''. He then went on to direct his own NFB animated shorts, at the NFB's Winnipeg studio. Cordell Annesley (died 1636) was an English courtier. Family background She was a daughter of Brian Annesley and Audrey Tirrell (d. 1591), a daughter of Robert Tirrell of Burbrooke. Brian Annesley was a gentleman pensioner of Queen Elizabeth, master of the harriers, and warden of the Fleet Prison. Her grandfather Nicolas Annesley (d. 1593) had been "sergeant of the cellar" to Queen Elizabeth. The surname also appears in the contemporary forms "Anslowe" or "Onslow" or "Ansley". Sir William Cordell (about 1522 – 17 May 1581) of Melford Hall in the parish of Long Melford, Suffolk, was an English lawyer, landowner, administrator and politician who held high offices under both the Catholic Queen Mary I and the Protestant Queen Elizabeth I. Early life Born about 1522, he was the eldest son of John Cordell (died 1553), from Edmonton in Middlesex, and his wife Emma (died 1554), daughter of Henry Webb who lived at Kimbolton in Huntingdonshire. His younger brother Edward also became a lawyer and politician. His father was principal aide to Sir William Clopton (died 1531), an influential lawyer at Lincoln's Inn and owner of Kentwell Hall at Long Melford in Suffolk. Tarka Clay Cordell-Lavarack (28 July 1966 – 28 April 2008) was an English musician, writer, record producer, and model. The son of record producer Denny Cordell, Cordell was born in Westminster, Greater London, and was educated at Harrow School. His debut studio album was titled ''Wide Awake in a Dream'', self-released on his own label, Room 609 Records. An enthusiast of South Louisiana music, Cordell produced C. C. Adcock's eponymous debut album, and co-produced (with Adcock) the ''Bayou Ruler'' album by the Cajun band, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys. On 28 April 2008, he was found dead at his apartment in Westminster, having committed suicide by hanging. Ryan Thomas Cordell (born March 31, 1992) is an American professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets. Career Cordell attended Valley Christian Academy in Roseville, California, graduating in 2010. He attended Liberty University and played college baseball for the Liberty Flames. Texas Rangers The Texas Rangers selected Cordell in the 11th round of the 2013 MLB draft.
