Colors (DVD)
''Colors Live'' (stylized as ''Colors_LIVE'') is the first video album by American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me. It was released on October 14, 2008. The concert was filmed at the Rocketown in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday, August 2, 2008. The album peaked at number 100 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. The band played two sets during the concert—the first included the band's 2007 ''Colors'' album in its entirety and the second was of previously released songs as voted by fans via a special website. The DVD includes both sets. The audio CD contains only the band's performance of ''Colors''. The DVD is mixed in Dolby Stereo, contrary to the most current live releases which make heavy use of surround sound. There is a slideshow on the DVD including photography from David Shaw and Eric Dale; both photographers took all photography for the CD and DVD. Between The Buried And Me
Between the Buried and Me, often abbreviated as BTBAM, is an American progressive metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina. Formed in 2000, the band consists of Tommy Giles Rogers Jr. (lead vocals, keyboards), Paul Waggoner (lead guitar, backing vocals), Dustie Waring (rhythm guitar, lead guitar), Dan Briggs (bass, keyboards), and Blake Richardson (drums). Their debut eponymous album was released through Lifeforce Records in 2002, shifting to Victory Records for subsequent releases until their signing to Metal Blade in 2011, where Between the Buried and Me released their first extended play, '' The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues'' that year, and its full-length follow-up '' The Parallax II: Future Sequence'' the following year. Blake Richardson (drummer)
Cartland Blake Richardson is the drummer for American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me, as well as the drummer for Glass Casket. Joining in early 2005, Richardson replaced Between the Buried and Me's former drummer Jason Roe. Biography Richardson attended middle school at Calvary Baptist Day School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He later attended Mt. Tabor High School and performed an annual drum solo for a school-club project named 'Spartan Spectacular'. Playing since he was 11 years old, he became an immediate fan of 1990s grunge music. Being inspired by bands such as Soundgarden, Nirvana, and Smashing Pumpkins, his passion for heavy music grew as much as his love for drumming did. Electric Bass
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Daniel Hanford Briggs (born September 27, 1984) is a musician from Erie, Pennsylvania, best known for playing bass guitar for the American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me. In addition to his bass duties with Between the Buried and Me, he also plays bass for jazz fusion band Trioscapes and progressive rock band Nova Collective as well as both guitar and bass in the band Orbs. Paul Andrew Waggoner is the lead guitarist of American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me. A fan of progressive music, he is heavily inspired by John Petrucci, Pat Metheny, Allan Holdsworth and Steve Vai, amongst others. He formerly played guitar in the metalcore bands, From Here On and Prayer for Cleansing. He had also played live guitar as needed for Lamb of God between 2010 and 2014.
