Claude Cat
Claude Cat is an animated cartoon character in the ''Looney Tunes'' and '' Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons from Warner Brothers. Character biography Claude Cat had his origins in several other cat characters used by animator Chuck Jones from 1943 to 1946. These cats were mostly similar in appearance and temperament, with black fur and anxious personalities. For example, in the 1943 film '' The Aristo-Cat'', Jones paired his unnamed cat against the mind-manipulating mouse duo, Hubie and Bertie. In the 1943 film '' Fin'n Catty,'' the same cat has a manipulation with water and a goldfish in the style of Sylvester and Tweety. He also appeared in '' Odor-able Kitty'' (1945; the debut of Pepé Le Pew), and in the 1946 film '' Roughly Squeaking'' (this early version of Claude was his last appearance with Hubie and Bertie before his official redesign in 1949). ''Mouse-Warming'' is a 1952 Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' short, directed by Chuck Jones. The cartoon was released on September 6, 1952 and stars Claude Cat in his final solo cartoon. The title is a play on " housewarming". Plot In a garden, a wind-up toy truck labelled under ACME Moving Co. pulls up to a mousehole door, and two moving mice move the contents of the van into the hole. Afterwards, a young girl mouse and her parents move in. The girl mouse soon sees a boy mouse driving a motorized hot rod toy into his garage and walking up to his own mousehole. (a cheese factory), Hubie and Bertie have eaten so much cheese, they are sick. They vow never to eat cheese again and, with nothing to live for, leave a suicide note. Isadore "Friz" Freleng (; August 21, 1905May 26, 1995), credited as I.
