Cinderella (band)
Cinderella was an American Rock music, rock band formed in the suburbs of Philadelphia in 1983. The band emerged in the mid-1980s with a series of multi-platinum studio albums and hit singles whose music videos received heavy MTV rotation and popularity. Cinderella initially had a glam metal sound throughout the late 1980s before shifting into a more blues rock-based sound during the early to mid 1990s. By the mid-1990s, the band's fame declined precipitously due to personal setbacks, breakups, and changes in the American music industry. After a brief hiatus, Cinderella reunited in 1996 and continued to perform live, but never released any studio material after their 1994 album ''Still Climbing (Cinderella album), Still Climbing''. Clifton Heights is a borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States, located on Darby Creek west of downtown Philadelphia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 6,863. History The demographics of the greater Delaware Valley were significantly impacted by European colonization. By 1754, Native American populations in this region had been significantly displaced, however various uprisings of Native Americans were common throughout the region. According to historian Freas B. Snyder, settlers set up a large tin kettle at a high point on what is now Oak Avenue, between Baltimore Avenue and Springfield Road. Empire Rock Club was a live music venue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and an important influence on the 1980s east coast glam metal music scene. History Located at 7015 E. Roosevelt Boulevard, the Empire Rock Club was at the time of its opening, the only rock music venue in Northeast Philadelphia. In January 1985, the club began a metal music night every Sunday that was all ages. Kiss (commonly styled as KISS) was an American rock music, rock band formed in New York City in 1973 by Paul Stanley (vocals, rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals, bass guitar), Ace Frehley (lead guitar, vocals) and Peter Criss (drums, vocals). ''Still Climbing'' is the fourth and final studio album by the American rock band Cinderella, released on November 8, 1994, by Mercury Records. It is the band's only album to feature drummer Kenny Aronoff, who replaced Fred Coury, although Coury did play drums on the album's final song "Hot & Bothered". The release of ''Still Climbing'' was delayed due to lead vocalist Tom Keifer losing his voice in 1991. The album peaked at No. 178 on the ''Billboard'' 200.
