Christiane Paul (curator)
Christiane Paul is Curator of Digital Art at the Whitney Museum of American Art and professor emerita in the School of Media Studies at The New School. She is the author of the book ''Digital Art'', which is part of the 'World of Art' series published by Thames & Hudson. Education Paul received both her Master of Arts, MA and PhD from the University of Düsseldorf in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Career In 2016, Paul was the recipient of the Carl & Marilynn Thoma Art Foundation, Thoma Foundation Arts Writing Award in Digital Art for an established arts writer who has made significant contributions to the intersection of art and technology. Axel Lapp (born 1966 in Konstanz, West Germany) is a German curator, art historian and publisher, who is based in Memmingen. As well as art and music, he was interested in creativity in general. Specifically, he was a pioneer of computer graphics. He founded the BFA Computer Art Department at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and directed the New York Digital Salon. ''Time Out New York'' named Wands as one of the "99 People to Watch in 1999". Born in Montclair, New Jersey, and raised in nearby Verona, as the youngest of three children, Wands graduated from Verona High School in 1967. AARON
According to the Old Testament of the Bible, Aaron ( or ) was an Israelite prophet, a high priest, and the elder brother of Moses. Harold Cohen (1 May 1928 – 27 April 2016) was a British-born artist who was noted as the creator of AARON, a computer program designed to produce paintings and drawings autonomously, which set it apart from previous programs. His work in the intersection of computer artificial intelligence and painting led to exhibitions at many museums, including the Tate Gallery in London.
