Chris Knights
Chris Knights (born 25 September 1986) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club and Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). AFL career Chris played his junior football with the Waverley Blues Football Club and also the Vermont Football Club before being selected to play for the Eastern Ranges in the TAC Cup. Knights, a dual Victorian Metropolitan under-18 representative (2003/04), was selected in the 2004 AFL Draft by the Adelaide Football Club with the 56th selection. Knights was eased into the AFL system, playing just two games in the 2005 season and ten in 2006 before cementing his spot in the side in 2007, missing only one game. Knights saw more action in 2007, developing into a midfielder and regularly featuring in Adelaide's best players on a regular basis. AAMI Stadium
Football Park, known commercially as AAMI Stadium, was an Australian rules football stadium located in West Lakes, a western suburb of Adelaide, the state capital of South Australia, Australia. It was built in 1973 by the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and opened in 1974. Until the end of the 2013 AFL season, it served as the home ground of South Australia's AFL clubs, the Adelaide Football Club and Port Adelaide Football Club. It also hosted all SANFL finals from 1974 to 2013. Demolition of the stadium's grandstands began in August 2018, and finished in March 2019. Despite the demolition of all grandstands, the stadium's playing surface was retained. 2015 AFL Season
The 2015 AFL season was the 119th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 2 April until 3 October, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The premiership was won by the Hawthorn Football Club for the 13th time and third time consecutively, after it defeated by 46 points in the 2015 AFL Grand Final. The season was marred by the mid-season death of senior coach Phil Walsh, who was killed by his son in a domestic incident. Adelaide's following match was cancelled.
