Chloë Farro
Chloë Farro (born 19 June 2003) is an Aruban swimmer. She qualified to represent Aruba at the 2024 Summer Olympics and was chosen the Aruban flag bearer. Biography Farro was born on 19 June 2003 in Savaneta, Aruba. She grew up in Aruba and swam at an early age for the Aruba Dolphins Swim Club, stating aged 12 that she made it her goal to represent Aruba at the Summer Olympic Games. She also practiced ballet, but decided to focus full-time on swimming by age 14. She represented Aruba in international competitions at a young age; she won a bronze medal at the CCCAN Swimming Championships in 2018, competed in four events at the 2019 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships and participated at the UANA Swimming Cup in February 2020, winning a bronze medal. In July 2020, Farro announced her commitment to attend college in the U.S. at Indiana State University (ISU) and swim for the Indiana State Sycamores. Savaneta
Savaneta is a town and region in southeastern Aruba. Until 1797, it was the island's capital city. It is home to the island's oldest surviving home, a 150-year-old '' cas di torto'', or mud hut. The Savaneta region has an estimated area of 27.76 square kilometers and 11,518 inhabitants according to the 2010 census. History Savaneta is the oldest village of Aruba. In the 16th century, it became the capital of the Spanish administration. After Aruba was conquered by the Netherlands, the governor lived in Commander's Bay, a natural harbour near Savaneta. In 1797, the government moved to Paardenbaai which would later become Oranjestad. By 1816, only one house had remained inhabited. 2023 World Aquatics Championships
The 2023 World Aquatics Championships, the 20th edition of the World Aquatics Championships, were held in Fukuoka, Japan, from 14 to 30 July 2023. Originally scheduled to be held in 2021 as the 19th championships, the championships were postponed until May 2022 in response to the rescheduling of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
