China Railways SL12
The China Railways SL12 (胜利12, Shènglì, "victory") class steam locomotive was a class of 4-6-2 steam locomotives for freight trains operated by the China Railway. The "Pashi" name came from the American naming system for steam locomotives, under which locomotives with 4-6-2 wheel arrangement were called "Pacific". In all, Sentetsu owned 144 locomotives of all Pashi classes, of which 141 survived the war; of these, 73 went to the Korean National Railroad in South Korea and 68 to the Korean State Railway in North Korea. Description Based on the experiences gained through the rebuilding of the Sentetsu Pureshi-class locomotive, Pureshi-class engines, the Pashishi class was, together with the Sentetsu Mikasa-class locomotive, Mikasa and Sentetsu Tehoro-class locomotive, Tehoro classes developed simultaneously, the first steam locomotive designed in-house by Sentetsu. is the Japanese rolling stock manufacturing subsidiary of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Since beginning operations in 1906, the company has produced more than 90,000 railroad cars. Products As indicated by the company name, the company mainly produces railroad vehicles. Since the early-1980s, Kawasaki has received orders from customers in foreign countries, including the Republic of Ireland, Bangladesh and the United States. All products manufactured for the US rail market are sold through Kawasaki Rail Car Inc., another division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. An assembly plant in Lincoln, Nebraska produces fully completed cars and "Knock-down kit, knocked down" cars.
