Charter Hall is an Australian property development and funds management company. In 2022, IREI ranked Charter Hall as the largest real estate investment manager in Australasia based on assets under management. History Charter Hall was founded in 1991 by André Biet, David Southon and Cedric Fuchs. Biet left in 2005 when the company listed, Southon left in 2016 and Fuch retired in 2018. In 2004, Transfield Holdings acquired a 50% stake of Charter Hall. In the same year David Harrison joined the company and is now leading it as Group CEO. On June 2005, the company held an initial public offering to list on the Australian Securities Exchange. In 2010, the company acquired Macquarie Group’s real estate platform. On November 2016, Charter Hall Long WALE REIT listed on Australian Securities Exchange which at the time was the largest ever initial public offering for a diversified property trust in the Australian market. Bass Hill Plaza is a shopping centre in the suburb of Bass Hill in Sydney's south-west. The centre is anchored by strong performing Woolworths, Aldi, Kmart and over 50 specialty stores. Bass Hill Plaza was formerly anchored by Franklins and Target. History Bass Hill Plaza opened on 27 November 1984 and included a Franklins Supermarket, Target and Woolworths as main anchor tenants and over 50 speciality stores. In 2013 Franklins closed its store and was replaced by Aldi which opened on 28 August 2013. Target closed its Bass Hill store on 28 June 2014 due to poor sales. Pacific Square (previously known as Stockland Mall Maroubra and Stockland ShopSmart Maroubra) is an indoor/outdoor shopping centre in the suburb of Maroubra in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, south-east of The CBD. History The site of Pacific Square was originally the Vocalist Theatre which opened in 1939 and closed in 1961. The theatre building was used as an ice skating rink shortly after the theatre's closure. In 1963, the Westfield Group purchased the theatre and built a Coles New World supermarket and a small shopping arcade on the site. Citigroup Centre is a skyscraper located on Park Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The building draws its name from Citigroup Australia who is the anchor tenant. Enterprise House, an office building that replaced the Second Empire Federal Coffee Palace, has been demolished for redevelopment into a 85,000sqm two stage office development.
