Carole Nash is a motorcycle insurance brokers in the UK and Ireland. The company also provides insurance cover for classic cars and performance vehicles, as well as campervans. History In 1985, after being made redundant for economic reasons by her previous employer, Carole Nash founded Carole Nash Insurance Consultants Ltd, using her redundancy cheque of £2,500. The company's first headquarters were located at Nash's own family home in Timperley, with business operations run from her kitchen table. Originally set up to look after the interests of vintage motorcycle owners, the business expanded to cover all types of motorbikes. By 1995, following a sustained period of growth, Carole Nash had 30,000 policyholders on its books. Carole Nash opened its first office in Ireland in 1999. Christie Hospital
The Christie Hospital in Manchester, England, is one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe. It is managed by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. History The hospital was established by a committee under the chairmanship of Richard Christie, a lawyer and academic, as the Cancer Pavilion and Home for Incurables. It opened at a site in Lorne Street off Oxford Road in 1892, at a site in Chorlton-upon-Medlock now occupied by Manchester Royal Infirmary. The name of the pavilion was changed by the addition of "Christie" in 1901 after Christie himself had died. In 1929 it had 34 beds and was resorted to by patients from northern England and north Wales; it was then the only provincial hospital solely for cancer treatment. The Ace Cafe is an old transport cafe located near Wembley, North West London, England. Situated next to the North Circular Road, it is historically a notable venue in motorcycle culture. Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038. Ronald Haslam (born 22 June 1956) is an English former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer who had been racing for over thirty years, winning two World titles, four British championships and having ridden in almost 110 GPs. Haslam spends much of his time helping his son Leon Haslam in his racing career and previously trained riders and racers alike at his former Race School based at Donington racetrack, Leicestershire.
