Capo FC
Capo FC, also known as Capistrano FC is an American soccer club based in San Juan Capistrano, California. History Capo FC was founded in 2006 with the mission of developing the youth soccer in the southern part of Orange County, California. The team competes locally in the SoCal Premier League, as part of the SWPL. In June 2020, the team was accepted in the United Premier Soccer League with plans to begin play in Division 1 for the Fall 2020 season. Following a delay, Capo debuted in Spring 2021 and went on to win the SoCal South championship. The team was promoted to the Premier Division for Fall 2021 where it finished the regular season undefeated in the SoCal North Conference. On November 30, 2021, the club announced it would join NISA Nation as members of its brand new Southwest Region. San Juan Capistrano, California
San Juan Capistrano ( Spanish for " St. John of Capistrano") is a city in Orange County, California, located along the Orange Coast. The population was 34,593 at the 2010 census. San Juan Capistrano was founded by the Spanish in 1776, when St. Junípero Serra established Mission San Juan Capistrano. Extensive damage caused by the 1812 Capistrano earthquake caused the community to decline. Following the Mexican secularization act of 1833, the mission village officially became a town and was briefly renamed as San Juan de Argüello. United Premier Soccer League
The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is an American soccer league that was founded in Santa Ana in Southern California, with teams in regionalized conferences throughout the United States, and recently Canada and Mexico. The league was founded in 2011 by Santa Ana Winds FC President Leonel López as a regional league for teams in Greater Los Angeles, but expanded to include 400 teams from 41 states as of the 2022 season. Two seasons are played each year, with regional play culminating in a playoff system that crowns a single national champion each season. NISA Nation is a semi-professional men's soccer league in the United States. The league is below the professional leagues in the United States soccer league system and began play in 2021. NISA Nation is affiliated with the third tier professional league National Independent Soccer Association.
