Campino is a variety of hard candy made by August Storck KG. It is made using a combination of yogurt and fruits which have varied since the product's launch in 1966. Up until 2007 only two varieties were available; strawberry and summer fruits (a mixed bag of raspberry, blackcurrant, and peach), however strawberry, cherry, and peach are also available. Andreas Frege (born 22 June 1962), known professionally as Campino, is a German-British singer, best known as the lead vocalist of Die Toten Hosen, a German punk rock band. Biography Campino was born at 22 June in Düsseldorf and is a descendant of the Frege family who owned the (Frege House) in Leipzig. His grandfather Ludwig Frege was the president of the Federal Administrative Court of Germany. He grew up as the son of a judge and a teacher. His mother was English, and raised her children to be bilingual. He has five siblings including his older brother John, who introduced him to punk music. His grandfather John Edmondson Whittaker was Labour Party (UK), Labour Party politician and Member of Parliament for Heywood and Radcliffe (UK Parliament constituency), Heywood and Radcliffe. Enrique Campino
Enrique Campino (1794–1874) was a Chilean politician and soldier who campaigned for his country's independence. Early life Campino was born in La Serena, Santiago in 1794 and died on October 26, 1874. He was a Chilean military officer who participated in the process that led to the independence of that country in the early nineteenth century. His parents were Captain Don Andres Fernandez de Campino y Erazo and Magdalena Salamanca y Messía. In 1821, he married Dona Ignacia Landa de los Rios. Military career He joined the Army in 1810 as a lieutenant of the Grenadier Regiment of Infantry. He helped quell the mutiny of Colonel Thomas Figueroa on 1 April 1811 (the Figueroa Mutiny). He participated in the campaigns of the south until 1812. After the Disaster of Rancagua in 1814, he emigrated to Mendoza, Argentina, joining the Army of the Andes.
