CBS High School Clonmel
CBS High School Clonmel (Ardscoil na mBráithre), is a second level Christian Brothers school in Clonmel, County Tipperary in Ireland. It was built in 1899 and its first Superior was Joseph White. A new school building was first occupied in 1971. By 1985, it had a student population of 550 and 31 staff. There are now over 40 staff and 800 students. Sports Gaelic games The school competes in the Dr. Harty Cup in hurling and the Corn Uí Mhuirí in Gaelic Football. In 2011, they were the All-Ireland B Post Primary School Gaelic football champions and went on to reach the Corn Uí Mhuirí final in 2016. The school produced a number of All-Ireland Minor Football Championship winners for Tipperary GAA in 2011, including 2016 all star Michael Quinlivan. Tipperary Senior Hurling Team Season 2019
The 2019 season was Liam Sheedy's first year in charge since returning as manager of the Tipperary senior hurling team, having been previously in charge from 2008 to 2010. The team were sponsored by world leading CEO advisory firm Teneo for the first year in a deal worth up to €180,000 a year on a rolling 12-month contract. On 24 September 2018, Liam Sheedy was appointed as the new manager of the Tipperary senior hurling team on a three-year term. In October 2018, Tommy Dunne was named as the coach of the senior hurlers with Darragh Egan also added to the back-room team as goalkeeping coach. Paddy O’Brien (physio) and Cairbre O Caireallan (strength and conditioning) were also named in October as part of Sheedy’s management team. Vivian Murray
Vivian Murray (22 July 1932 – 6 March 2009) was an Irish businessman. Murray served as the chief executive of the Irish Goods Council during the 1970s and 1980s, when it launched the "Buy Irish" and "Guaranteed Irish" marketing campaigns. Murray's first job was at local Irish post office in Clonmel following his graduation from high school. His other earlier occupations included positions at both Kelly and Shiel and Remington Rand. Murray also became the chairman of both An Post and Bord Iascaigh Mhara later in his career. Personal life Murray was born on 22 July 1932, in Clonmel, County Tipperary to parents, Jeremiah Murray and Mai Lynch Murray. He was one of six children in his family. Jason Lonergan
Jason Lonergan (born 1994) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays as a left corner-forward for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Lonergan first played competitive Gaelic football during his schooling at CBS High School Clonmel. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 2015 championship. Lonergan immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen. At club level Lonergan is a one-time championship medal with Clonmel Commercials. On 22 November 2020, Lonergan was a substitute as Tipperary won the 2020 Munster Senior Football Championship after a 0–17 to 0–14 win against Cork in the final. Babs Keating
Michael "Babs" Keating (born 17 April 1944) is an Irish former hurler and Gaelic footballer who played as a forward for the Tipperary senior teams. Born in Ardfinnan, County Tipperary, Keating first played competitive Gaelic games during his schooling at CBS High School Clonmel. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor teams in both codes, before later joining the under-21 sides. He joined the senior football panel during the 1960 championship before being added to the senior hurling panel four years later. Keating was a regular member of the starting fifteen on both teams, and won two All-Ireland medals, four Munster medals and two National Hurling League medals. Section Paloise (, Bearnese: ), commonly referred to as ''Section'' or as ''Pau'' , is a professional rugby union club based in Pau, France. Dave Foley (born 16 May 1988) is an Irish rugby union player for French side Pau in the Top 14 and European Rugby Challenge Cup. He plays as a lock. Munster Foley made his Munster debut against Connacht in April 2010. His first start for Munster was against Benetton Treviso in February 2011. A dislocated shoulder sustained in a Pro12 game against Newport Gwent Dragons on 3 March 2012 ruled Foley out for 'a while'. He signed a one-year contract extension with Munster in March 2012.
