C.J. Gable
C. J. Gable (born Carl Gable Jr. October 19, 1987) is a former Canadian football running back. He was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football for the University of Southern California Trojans. He has also been a member of the Denver Broncos (NFL), Nebraska Danger ( IFL), and Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Edmonton Eskimos (CFL). Early years Gable attended Sylmar High School in Sylmar, California. The California Golden Bears football program represents the University of California, Berkeley in college football as a member of the Pac-12 Conference at the NCAA Division I FBS level. The team plays its home games at California Memorial Stadium and is coached by Justin Wilcox. Since beginning of play in 1886, the team has won five NCAA recognized national titles - 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, and 1937 and 14 conference championships, the last one in 2006. Sylmar High School
Sylmar Charter High School is a charter school in the northeast San Fernando Valley in the Sylmar district of Los Angeles, California. Established in 1961, it is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, District 2, and serves more than 3,600 students in grades 9–12. The school mascot is the Spartans. History Sylmar first opened in 1961. Sylmar Magnet School opened September 13, 1994, serving 396 students annually. In 2016, Sylmar High School became a Charter High School. Athletics Sylmar's athletic program has flourished in the Los Angeles City Section. Particularly in football, the Spartans have won two city titles under former head coach Jeff Engilman, in 1992 and 1994. 2015 Hamilton Tiger-Cats Season
The 2015 Hamilton Tiger-Cats season was the 58th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 66th overall. The Tiger-Cats finished in 2nd place in the East Division with a 10–8 record and hosted a playoff game for the third consecutive season. The Tiger-Cats defeated the Toronto Argonauts in the East Semi-Final, but lost to the Ottawa Redblacks in the East Final, ending their quest to compete in three straight Grey Cups. This marked the first full season for the team playing at their new stadium, Tim Hortons Field. The Tiger-Cats played their first four games on the road due to stadium conflicts with the 2015 Pan Am Games.
