Bökingharde ( Mooring North Frisian: ''Böökinghiird''; ) was an '' amt'' (collective municipality) in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It was situated on the North Sea coast, approx. 35 km northwest of Husum. Its seat was in Risum-Lindholm. In January 2008, it was merged with the ''Ämter'' Karrharde, Süderlügum and Wiedingharde, and the municipalities Niebüll and Leck to form the ''Amt'' Südtondern. Karrharde ( North Frisian: ''Kårhiird''; ) was an '' amt'' (collective municipality) in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It was situated on the border with Denmark, approx. 35 km north of Husum, and 25 km west of Flensburg. Its seat was in Leck, itself not part of the ''amt''. Südtondern is an '' Amt'' ("collective municipality") in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. History Its seat is in Niebüll. It was formed on 1 January 2008 from the former ''Ämter'' Bökingharde, Karrharde, Süderlügum and Wiedingharde, and the municipalities Niebüll and Leck. In addition to the main seat in Niebüll, there are offices in Leck, Risum-Lindholm and Süderlügum. Amt is a type of administrative division governing a group of municipalities, today only in Germany, but formerly also common in other countries of Northern Europe. Dagebüll () ( Mooring North Frisian: ''Doogebel''; da, Dagebøl) is a municipality located at the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein in the Nordfriesland district, Germany. Today's Dagebüll was created in 1978 as a merger of the municipalities of Fahretoft, Juliane-Marien-Koog and Waygaard. Dagebüll used to be a Hallig, the oldest houses were built on artificial dwelling hills which in parts can still be seen today. In 1704 the area was secured by sea dikes. Husum, Germany
Husum (, frr, Hüsem) is the capital of the ''Kreis'' (district) Nordfriesland in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The town was the birthplace of the novelist Theodor Storm, who coined the epithet "the grey town by the sea". It is also the home of the annual international piano festival ''Raritäten der Klaviermusik'' (Rarities of Piano Music) founded in 1986. History Husum was first mentioned as ''Husembro'' in 1252, when king Abel was murdered. Like most towns on the North Sea, Husum was always strongly influenced by storm tides.
