Buskerud County Municipality
Buskerud County Municipality ( no, Buskerud fylkeskommune) was the regional governing administration of the old Buskerud county in Norway. The county municipality was established in its most recent form on 1 January 1976 when the law was changed to allow elected county councils in Norway. The county municipality was dissolved on 1 January 2020, when Buskerud was merged with the neighboring counties of Akershus and Østfold, creating the new Viken county which is led by the Viken County Municipality. The administrative seat is located in Drammen and the county mayor was Roger Ryberg. The main responsibilities of the county municipality included the running of the 13 upper secondary schools. It managed all the county roadways, public transport, dental care, culture, and cultural heritage sites in the county. Public transport was managed through Vestviken Kollektivtrafikk. Cultural heritage management (CHM) is the vocation and practice of managing cultural heritage. Tor Ottar Karlsen
Tor Ottar Karlsen (born 13 March 1950) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Rolvsøy and grew up in Åsgårdstrand. From 1980 to 1992 he was involved in local politics in Lier, and from 1992 to 1996 he chaired the county chapter of the Labour Party. From 1994 to 1996, during Brundtland's Third Cabinet, he was a political advisor in the Ministry of Children and Family Affairs. Åse Klundelien (born 8 January 1946) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She was born in Kongsberg. She attended teacher's college from 1963 to 1967, and worked as a teacher. She was a member of Kongsberg city council from 1967 to 1981. She was also a member of Buskerud county council from 1975 to 1987, serving the last term as county mayor.
