Budy ( uk, Буди, russian: Буди) is an urban-type settlement in Kharkiv Raion of Kharkiv Oblast in Ukraine. It is located on the left bank of the Merefa (river), Merefa, in the drainage basin of the Don (river), Don. Budy belongs to Pivdenne urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Economy Transportation Budy railway station, located in the settlement, is on the railway connecting Liubotyn and Merefa. There is infrequent passenger traffic. The settlement is included in the road network of Kharkiv urban agglomeration. References

Kharkiv Oblast ( uk, Харківська́ о́бласть, translit=Kharkivska oblast), also referred to as Kharkivshchyna ( uk, Ха́рківщина), is an oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. The oblast borders Russia to the north, Luhansk Oblast to the east, Donetsk Oblast to the south-east, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to the south-west, Poltava Oblast to the west and Sumy Oblast to the north-west. The area of the oblast is 31,400 km², corresponding to 5.2% of the total territory of Ukraine. The oblast is the third most populous province of Ukraine, with a population of 2,633,834 in 2021, more than half (1.43 million) of whom live in the city of Kharkiv, the oblast's administrative center. While the Russian language is primarily spoken in the cities of Kharkiv oblast, elsewhere in the oblast most inhabitants speak Ukrainian.
