Bryn Fôn
Bryn Fôn (born 27 August 1954) is a Welsh actor and singer-songwriter. He also became the first ever artist to play live on BBC Radio Cymru in 1977. Biography Bryn Fôn was born in Llanllyfni, Caernarfonshire. He attended Ysgol Gynradd Llanllyfni and Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle before going on to study physical exercise and environmental studies at college. He began his career in entertainment by taking part in the opera Dic Penderyn in 1977. He formed the musical group Crysbas after leaving college, and Sobin a'r Smaeliaid in 1988. He was voted the ''hunk of the month'' in '' She'' magazine during the 1980s. He began releasing albums with his band under his own name in 1994. He and his band later performed under the name Bryn Fôn a'r Band, releasing music under their own label . He won the song contest Cân i Gymru in 1997, with ''Un Funud Fach''. Llanllyfni
Llanllyfni () is a village and a community in Gwynedd, Wales. It is in the historic county of Caernarfonshire. The community consists of the villages of Drws-y-coed, Nantlle, Nasareth, Nebo, Penygroes, Talysarn and the village of Llanllyfni itself. Penygroes, Llanllyfni and Talysarn are almost conjoined. As an electoral ward the 2011 census recorded a population of 1256. It is a largely Welsh-speaking village as 85% of the villagers speak Welsh as their first language. The community covers 43 square kilometres. The river Afon Llyfni (sometimes spelt Afon Llyfnwy) runs through the village. Llanllyfni existed before the slate quarries opened but grew bigger and bigger during the slate quarrying period. In the 2001 census, there were about 650 people living in the village of Llanllyfni. Mei Jones
Henryd Myrddin Jones (1953–2021), known professionally as Mei Jones, was a Welsh actor and writer. He was best known for his part as Wali Thomas in the Welsh language sitcom '' C'mon Midffild!'' which he also co-wrote. Early life As a child he was a talented footballer and was admitted to a Welsh under-18 squad while still a school pupil. He played for teams in Beaumaris, Amlwch, Bangor and was a goalkeeper for Llanrug. He played for the Pontrhydfendigaid football club during his college days in Aberystwyth. Career Along with co-writer Alun Ffred Jones he won the BAFTA Cymru for best "Drama Series/Serial" for '' C'mon Midffild!'' in 1993. ''Hidden'' ( cy, Craith) is a Welsh television drama serial, created by Mark Andrew and Ed Talfan. It was initially broadcast in Welsh on the Welsh-language channel S4C under its Welsh name ''Craith''. The bilingual version of the series, under the English name ''Hidden'', was broadcast on BBC One Wales and BBC Four. The Welsh-language versions of the first two series aired on S4C in 2018 and 2019, respectively, with the third and final series beginning on 10 October 2021. ''Pobol y Cwm'' (''People of the Valley''; ) is a Welsh-language soap opera produced by the BBC since October 1974. The longest-running television soap opera produced by the BBC, ''Pobol y Cwm'' was originally transmitted on BBC One Wales and later transferred to the Welsh-language station S4C when it opened in November 1982. The show was set in the Welsh valley Rhondda Cynon Taf from series one until the end of series five, and Rhymney Valley from the beginning of series six until the end of the show in series nine. ''A Mind to Kill'' is a Welsh television police detective series, that developed from a feature-length pilot episode first broadcast in 1991. The series stars Philip Madoc as protagonist DCI Noel Bain. Four series were broadcast between 1994 and 2002, though the Christmas special is sometimes counted as a separate series, bringing the total to five. ''C'mon Midffîld!'' is one of the most successful Welsh television comedy series ever broadcast on S4C. William De Braose (died 1230)
William de Braose (c. 1197 – 2 May 1230) was the son of Reginald de Braose by his first wife, Grecia Briwere. He was an ill-fated member of the House of Braose, a powerful and long-lived dynasty of Marcher Lords. Biography William de Braose was born in Brecon, probably between 1197 and 1204.
