Brusartsi Municipality ( bg, Община Брусарци) is a small municipality ('' obshtina'') in Montana Province, Northwestern Bulgaria, located in the Danubian Plain about 6 km south of Danube river. It is named after its administrative centre - the town of Brusartsi. The municipality embraces a territory of 194.55 km2 with a population of 4,954 inhabitants, as of February 2011. Danubian Plain (Bulgaria)
The Danubian Plain ( bg, Дунавска равнина, Dunavska ravnina) constitutes the northern part of Bulgaria, situated north of the Balkan Mountains and south of the Danube. Its western border is the Timok River and to the east it borders the Black Sea. The plain has an area of . It is about long and wide. The Danubian Plain is contiguous with the Wallachian Plain (forming the Lower Danubian Plain), but the relief is hilly, featuring numerous plateaux and river valleys. Banitsa ( bg, баница, , also transliterated as banica and banitza) is a traditional pastry dish made in Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Southeastern Serbia (where it may also be referred to as gibanica), prepared by layering a mixture of whisked eggs, natural yogurt and pieces of white brined cheese between filo pastry and then baking it in an oven. Traditionally, lucky charms are put into the pastry on certain occasions, particularly on New Year's Eve. These charms may be coins or small symbolic objects (e.g., a small piece of a dogwood branch with a bud, symbolizing health or longevity). The Agrarian Union "Aleksandar Stamboliyski" ( bg, Земеделски съюз „Александър Стамболийски“, ''Zemedelski Sayuz "Aleksandar Stamboliyski"'', ZS-AS), is an agrarian political party in Bulgaria. Vidin ( bg, Видин, ; Old Romanian: Diiu) is a port city on the southern bank of the Danube in north-western Bulgaria.
