Brother Studios (later renamed Crimson Sound) was the name of a recording studio located at 1454 5th St, Santa Monica, California established by brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, co-founders of the Beach Boys. Mink DeVille
Mink DeVille was a rock band founded in 1974, known for its association with early punk rock bands at New York's CBGB nightclub and for being a showcase for the music of Willy DeVille. The band recorded six albums in the years 1977 to 1985, after which it disbanded the next year. Except for frontman Willy DeVille, the original members of the band played only on the first two albums (''Cabretta'' and ''Return to Magenta''). For the remaining albums and for tours, Willy DeVille assembled musicians to play under the name "Mink Deville". After 1985, when Willy DeVille began recording and touring under his own name, his backup bands were sometimes called "The Mink DeVille Band", an allusion to the earlier Mink Deville name. Terrance James Reid (born 13 November 1949) is an English rock vocalist and guitarist. He has performed with high-profile musicians, as a supporting act, session musician, and sideman. Biography Reid was born in Paxton Park Maternity Home, Little Paxton, St Neots, Huntingdonshire, England. He lived in the village of Bluntisham and attended St Ivo School, St Ives. After leaving school at the age of fifteen, Reid joined Peter Jay and the Jaywalkers after being spotted by the band's drummer, Peter Jay. At the time, Reid was playing for a local band, The Redbeats, who regularly performed at the River Club in St Ives. His public profile was enhanced in 1966 when The Jaywalkers were named as a supporting act for the Rolling Stones during their 23-show British Tour from September to October 1966. The Paley Brothers
The Paley Brothers were an American power pop duo formed in 1976 by brothers Andy and Jonathan Paley. After releasing one studio album and EP, they disbanded in 1979, although the brothers continued to collaborate on other projects. They are characterized by their more straightforward AM radio pop style which contrasted the ironic or aggressive attitudes projected by other power pop groups of the era. Despite a lack of commercial success, the Paley Brothers achieved an underground cult following through their performances at CBGB while also touring extensively, opening for acts ranging from Shaun Cassidy to the Patti Smith Group. ''Bambu'' is an unfinished studio album by American songwriter-musician Dennis Wilson, co-founder of the Beach Boys, intended as the follow-up to his debut '' Pacific Ocean Blue''. In 2008, recordings from the album were compiled as bonus tracks for the first CD issue of ''Pacific Ocean Blue''. In 2017, the same track selection was given a dedicated release, titled ''Bambu (The Caribou Sessions)''. Background ''Bambu'' began production in 1978 at Brother Studios in Santa Monica with the collaboration of then Beach Boys keyboardist and Dennis Wilson's close friend Carli Muñoz as songwriter and producer. The first four songs that were officially recorded for ''Bambu'' were Muñoz's compositions: "It's Not Too Late", "Constant Companion", "All Alone", and "Under the Moonlight". Alex van der Zouwen (born 1 July 1986, Rozenburg), better known by his stage name Kraantje Pappie, is a Dutch rapper and television presenter. Van der Zouwen is signed to the label Noah's Ark, which released four major albums alongside several singles. ''The Beach Boys Love You'' is the 21st studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released April 11, 1977 on Brother/Reprise. Sometimes referred to as the band's "punk" or "synth pop" album, ''Love You'' is distinguished for its pioneering use of synthesizers and its juxtaposition of adolescent-oriented lyrics with the adult band members' rough vocals. ''Pacific Ocean Blue'' is the only studio album by American musician Dennis Wilson, co-founder of the Beach Boys. When released in August 1977, it was warmly received critically, and noted for outselling the Beach Boys' contemporary efforts. Two singles were issued from the album, " River Song" and " You and I", which did not chart. The album remains a focal point of Wilson's legacy, being referred to as a "classic". It was voted number 838 in Colin Larkin's ''All Time Top 1000 Albums''. Wilson intended to record a follow-up, entitled '' Bambu'', but the album was left unfinished at the time of his death in December 1983. Lisa Hartman Black is an American actress and singer. Career After some minor television appearances, Hartman starred on the short-lived '' Bewitched'' spin-off, ''Tabitha'' during 1977–78. She subsequently appeared frequently on television in guest roles, and appeared in the 1981 CBS TV remake of Jacqueline Susann's '' Valley of the Dolls'', as Neely O'Hara. She was on WLS-TV's 1979 special "You're Never Too Old" recorded at Marriott's Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. ''Ear Candy'' is the ninth studio album by Australian-American pop singer Helen Reddy, released on 25 April 1977 by Capitol Records. The album included a modern take on the doo-wop genre ("Long Distance Love"), a Cajun number that gave the Melbourne native her first and only appearance on '' Billboard'' magazine's Country chart ("Laissez les Bontemps Rouler"),. and a dark self-parody on which Reddy proclaims: "I don't take no shit from nobody" ("Baby, I'm a Star").
