Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena
Visions Veterans Memorial Arena (formerly known as the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena and Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena) is a 7,200-seat multi-purpose arena in Binghamton, New York. The arena was completed in 1973, providing an entertainment venue for residents of the Greater Binghamton area. The arena has eight luxury suites that each hold 25 fans (200 total). A longtime home to minor league hockey, the arena is home to the Binghamton Black Bears of the Federal Prospects Hockey League. The B.C. Icemen were an ice hockey team in the United Hockey League (UHL). They played in Binghamton, New York, at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. History In 1997, the owners of the American Hockey League (AHL)'s Binghamton Rangers moved their franchise to Hartford, Connecticut, as the Hartford Wolf Pack. The team was replaced by the B.C. ("Broome County") Icemen of the lower-level United Hockey League (UHL). The B.C. The Broome County Forum Theatre, also known as the Forum, Capri Theatre, and the Broome Center for the Performing Arts, is a historic theater, which is located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The theater seats 1,522 with a pit orchestra and 1,553 without one. Ice Capades
The Ice Capades were traveling entertainment shows featuring theatrical ice skating performances. Shows often featured former Olympic and US National Champion figure skaters who had retired from formal competition. Started in 1940, the Ice Capades grew rapidly and prospered for 50 years. A decline in popularity ensued in the 1980s, and the show went out of business around 1995. There have been several attempts to revive the show and its name. Similar traditional ice-skating entertainment shows included the Ice Follies and Holiday on Ice.
