Brent Wright
Brindley Lambert Wright (born May 6, 1978) is an American former professional basketball player. Playing career Wright did not play organized basketball until 1993–94. He was a Top-35 recruit in the country coming out of Miami Senior High School. He played college basketball at the University of Florida from 1997 to 2001. Wright played for Gators team that made NCAA Tournament three straight times. He was part of Florida Gators team that made 2000 NCAA Final Four. He sued Nike after his Nike Maxair shoe ripped open during a game against Mississippi on February 21, 2001. The suit claimed the defected shoe caused permanent damage to Wright's right foot limiting his earning capacity as a professional basketball player. Latvijas Basketbola Līga
The Latvian Basketball League (LBL; lv, Latvijas Basketbola līga) also known as the '' Pafbet'' LBL for sponsorship reasons, is the national basketball championship in Latvia; composed of 6 teams. It is considered the biggest basketball league in Latvia. The LBL is a part of Latvian Basketball Association, which is the national governing body of basketball in Latvia. Its 6 teams are located in 5 cities; two in Riga, and one in Ventspils, Liepāja, Valmiera, and Ogre. The LBL season usually runs from September to April. The Latvia men's national basketball team ( lv, Latvijas basketbola izlase) represents Latvia in international basketball. They are organized and run by the Latvian Basketball Association. 2004–05 ULEB Cup
The 2004–05 ULEB Cup was the third season of the second-tier level European professional club basketball competition, the EuroCup, which is organized by the Euroleague Basketball Company. The season started on November 9, 2004, and officially ended on April 19, 2005. The second-tier level EuroCup is the European-wide league level that is one tier below the EuroLeague level. 2000 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament
The 2000 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament involved 64 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. It began on March 16, 2000, and ended with the championship game on April 3 in Indianapolis, Indiana at the RCA Dome. A total of 63 games were played. Due to a string of upsets throughout the tournament, only one top-four seed advanced to the Final Four. That was Michigan State, who finished the season as the #2 team in the nation and was given the top seed in the Midwest Region. 1999–2000 Florida Gators Men's Basketball Team
The 1999–2000 Florida Gators men's basketball team represented the University of Florida in the sport of basketball during the 1999–2000 college basketball season. The Gators competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They were led by head coach Billy Donovan, and played their home games in the O'Connell Center on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus. The Gators were the SEC regular season champions, winning a share of the title with a 12–4 conference record.
