Brad Soderberg
Bradley William Soderberg (born May 10, 1962) is a men's college basketball coach. He is currently the Director of Scouting for the University of Virginia Cavaliers. Soderberg was previously head coach at Lindenwood, St. Louis, South Dakota State, Loras College, and was the interim head coach at Wisconsin. Playing career Born in Wausau, Wisconsin, Soderberg played basketball at Pacelli High School in Stevens Point, Wisconsin for his father, Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame Coach, Don Soderberg. Soderberg played basketball in college at Ripon College from 1980 to 1982 before he transferred to University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, playing at Stevens Point from 1982 to 1984 under head coach Dick Bennett, and with Terry Porter (who later became player and eventually a head coach in the National Basketball Association). Virginia Cavaliers Men's Basketball
The Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing the University of Virginia. The school competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Virginia has won the NCAA Championship, two National Invitation Tournaments, and three ACC tournament titles. The team is coached by Tony Bennett and plays home games at the on-campus John Paul Jones Arena (14,623) which opened in 2006. They have been called the ''Cavaliers'' since 1923, predating the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA by half a century. Fort Hays State University
Fort Hays State University (FHSU) is a public university in Hays, Kansas. It is the fourth-largest of the six state universities governed by the Kansas Board of Regents, with a total enrollment of approximately 15,100 students. History FHSU was founded in 1902 as the Western Branch of Kansas State Normal School, which is now known as Emporia State University. Terry Porter
Terry Porter (born April 8, 1963) is an American former college basketball coach and former player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was most recently the head men's basketball coach at the University of Portland. A native of Wisconsin, he played college basketball at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point before being drafted 24th by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1985 NBA draft. In Portland, he played ten seasons with two All-Star Game appearances. Porter spent 17 years in the NBA as a player. Following his retirement as a player in 2002, he began coaching in the league. Dick Bennett
Richard A. Bennett (born April 20, 1943) is an American former college basketball coach who is best known for building the Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball program into a mid-major power and revitalizing the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he is the father of current Virginia Cavaliers head coach Tony Bennett and former Northern Illinois women's basketball head coach Kathi Bennett. Ripon College is a private liberal arts college in Ripon, Wisconsin. As of fall 2018, the college enrolled around 800 students, the majority of whom lived on campus. Pacelli High School is a private secondary school located on the north side of Stevens Point, Wisconsin in the Roman Catholic Diocese of La Crosse. The school, named in honor of Pope Pius XII, was founded in 1955 by Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (Christian Brothers). History Originally an all-boys high school, Pacelli merged with the all-girls Maria High School in the early 1970s to create a co-ed school offering a college-prep curriculum.
