Boys Like Girls is an American rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. Formed in 2005, the group gained mainstream recognition when it released its self-titled debut album which went on to sell over 700,000 albums in the United States earning a Gold Record from the RIAA. The group's second studio album ''Love Drunk'', was released on September 8, 2009 and their third album '' Crazy World'', was released December 11, 2012. The band toured worldwide between 2006 and 2013. Notable tours include their main stage appearance on the entire 2007 Vans Warped Tour, their first headline tour "Tourzilla" (2007) and a co-headliner with Good Charlotte for the Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour 2008. Bradley Glenn "Butch" Walker (born November 14, 1969) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He was the lead guitarist for the glam metal band SouthGang from the late 1980s to early 1990s as well as the lead vocalist and guitarist for rock band Marvelous 3 from 1997 until 2001. Career SouthGang Walker grew up in Cartersville, Georgia, working as a guitarist and performer in several rock bands in the 1980s, including Badd Boyz and Byte the Bullet. Cute Is What We Aim For is an American rock band from Buffalo, New York. The band formed in 2005 and has since released two albums: '' The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch'' and ''Rotation''. "Thunder" is a song by American pop rock band Boys Like Girls. It was released on May 6, 2008, as the third and final single from their debut album, '' Boys Like Girls'' (2006). There are two versions of the song: one version where Martin Johnson sings alone and another version where Bryan Donahue sings some lines and backup vocals. This song was released as an acoustic version first before it appeared on ''Boys Like Girls'', and over two years before the song's official single release. The band first posted the radio remix of the song on their Myspace profile on March 11, 2008. It was the first song Boys Like Girls ever wrote which was written about Martin's high school sweetheart. PureVolume (formerly Unborn Media) was a website for uploading and streaming of music files, the first independently run of its type. PureVolume was created by Unborn Media, Inc; Mitchell Pavao; Brett Woitunski; and Nate Hudson, all from the University of Massachusetts.
