Boru Chandidas
Chandidas (born 1408) was a medieval poet of Bengal, or possibly more than one. Over 1250 poems related to the love of Radha and Krishna in Bengali with the ''bhanita'' of Chandidas are found with three different sobriquets along with his name, ', ''Dvija'' and ''Dina'' as well as without any sobriquet also. It is not clear whether these ''bhanita''s actually refer to the same person or not. It is assumed by some modern scholars that the poems which are current in the name of Chandidas are actually the works of at least four different Chandidas, who are distinguished from each other by their sobriquets found in the ''bhanita''s. It is also assumed that the earliest of them was Ananta Chandidas, who has been more or less identified as a historical figure born in the 14th century in Birbhum district of the present-day West Bengal state and wrote the lyrical ''Srikrishna Kirtan'' (Songs in praise of Krishna). Brian Boru
Brian Boru ( mga, Brian Bóruma mac Cennétig; modern ga, Brian Bóramha; 23 April 1014) was an Irish king who ended the domination of the High Kingship of Ireland by the Uí Néill and probably ended Viking invasion/domination of Ireland. Brian built on the achievements of his father, Cennétig mac Lorcain, and especially his elder brother, Mathgamain. Brian first made himself king of Munster, then subjugated Leinster, eventually becoming High King of Ireland. He was the founder of the O'Brien dynasty, and is widely regarded as one of the most successful and unifying monarchs in medieval Ireland. With a population of under 500,000 people, Ireland had over 150 kings, with greater or lesser domains. Sean Boru (born Desmond Patrick Bruen; 20 March 1953, in Dublin, Ireland – 14 February 2011, in Essex, United Kingdom) was an Irish actor and author. Sorcha Boru was the studio name of Claire Everett Stewart ( Jones; April 13, 1900 – January 30, 2006), a potter and ceramic sculptor. Most of her works include small items such as figurines, vases, planters, and salt and pepper shakers, mostly done in the art deco style. One of her pieces includes an "Alice in Wonderland" chess set (1932). Stewart was born in San Francisco, California and graduated from the Girls High School in San Francisco in 1919. She received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of California Berkeley in 1924. In 1926, she married Ellsworth R. Stewart (1897 – 1971) whom she met while they were students at University of California, Berkeley. From c. 1932-39, Stewart had a studio at the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park, California. From about 1940 to the mid-1950s, she had a studio at 430 El Camino Real in San Carlos, California with a production factory nearby in San Carlos, operated by her husband who made pieces using molds.
