Tripura (, Bengali: ) is a state in Northeast India. The third-smallest state in the country, it covers ; and the seventh-least populous state with a population of 36.71 lakh ( 3.67 million). It is bordered by Assam and Mizoram to the east and by Bangladesh to the north, south and west. The Haora River is one of the major rivers of the West Tripura District of the Indian state Tripura, located between latitudes 23°37′N and 23°53′N, and longitudinally between 91°15′E and 91°37′E. It is also known by the name Saidra (in Kokborok language) by the indigenous people of the state. It is one of the ten major rivers flowing in the State of Tripura, the others being: River Longai, Juri, Deo, Manu, Dhalai, Khowai, Gumati, Muhuri and Feny. Sumli
Sumli is a small river originating from the Damra Hills of Boromura hill range in the Indian state of Tripura. It flows through the villages of Boiragi, Chakhuma, Yacharai, Kutna Kami and the town of Borokathal. It has been the source of water for agricultural farming in the Sumli Valley and has been a small source of fishing for the local peoples.
