BoomBox (Ukrainian Band)
BoomBox (also: Бумбокс, Bumboks) is a Ukrainian rock and pop band formed in 2004 by singer Andriy Khlyvnyuk and guitarist . Their songs are predominantly in Ukrainian, with their albums and singles including some songs in Russian and English. They recorded their first album ''Меломанія'' (''Melomania'') in just 19 hours and released it in April 2005. The band has performed in cities throughout Ukraine, including Lviv, Odesa, Kovel, Uzhhorod and, as recently as the beginning of 2022, in Kyiv. They have performed in other European countries, the United States, and Canada. In 2015 they conducted a ten-year-anniversary tour in North America. BoomBox was scheduled to perform in London at a show in support of the Belarus Free Theatre in 2015. Khlyvnyuk was unable to get there due to visa problems, so instead of performing their own set, the rest of the band backed Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, playing a selection of Pink Floyd and Gilmour solo pieces. Uzhhorod
Uzhhorod ( uk, У́жгород, , ; ) is a city and municipality on the river Uzh in western Ukraine, at the border with Slovakia and near the border with Hungary. The city is approximately equidistant from the Baltic, the Adriatic and the Black Sea (650–690 km) making it the most inland city in this part of Europe. It is the administrative center of Zakarpattia Oblast (region), as well as the administrative center of the Uzhhorod Raion (district) within the oblast. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. The Kiffness
David Scott (born 11 February 1988), also known by his stagename as The Kiffness, is a South African musician, producer and parody artist who is the founder and lead singer for the band, The Kiffness. Despite the name of the band, Scott is referred to as The Kiffness alone. Early life and career In 2004, Scott was a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Choir. Scott was educated at Michaelhouse school and went to the University of the Witwatersrand to study medicine. However, he dropped out and switched to studying music and philosophy at Rhodes University while working as a DJ and playing in a jazz band. Red ''Viburnum'' berries (') is a symbol that has been a part of Ukrainian culture since ancient times. Oh, the Red Viburnum in the Meadow ( uk, Ой у лузі червона калина - Oi u luzi chervona kalyna) is a Ukrainian patriotic march first published in 1875 by Volodymyr Antonovych and Mykhailo Drahomanov. Written in a modern treatment by the composer Stepan Charnetsky in 1914, in honor and memory of the Sich Riflemen of the First World War, it was later adopted by both the Ukrainian People's Army of the Ukrainian War of Independence and the Second World War-era Ukrainian Insurgent Army. Ukrainian folk music includes a number of varieties of traditional, folkloric, folk-inspired popular music, and folk-inspired European classical music traditions. The Territorial Defence Forces ( uk, Війська територіальної оборони, translit=Viiska terytorialnoi oborony) are the military reserve component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Territorial Defence Forces were formed after the reorganization of the Territorial Defence Battalions, volunteer militias created during the War in Donbas under the command of the Ministry of Defence.
