Bonni Ginzburg
Ben-Zion Shabbtai "Boni" Ginzburg (or Bonni, he, בן-ציון שבתאי "בוני" גינצבורג; born 12 December 1964) is an Israeli footballer who played as a goalkeeper and retired in 2001. He played for 11 different clubs during his extensive career from 1983 to 2001, and collected 68 caps for Israel. Early life Ben-Zion Shabbtai Ginzburg was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a family of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. His father died of a heart attack when he was eight. Club career In 1983, at the age of 16, he joined Maccabi Tel Aviv FC as a goalkeeper. He also played for Maccabi Petah Tikva FC, Maccabi Haifa F.C. and Beitar Jerusalem FC, before signing for Rangers in 1989. Reuben or Reuven ( he, רְאוּבֵן, Standard ''Rəʾūven'', Tiberian ''Rŭʾūḇēn'') was the first of the six sons of Jacob and Leah (Jacob’s oldest son), according to the Book of Genesis. The Israel State Cup ( he, גביע המדינה, ''Gvia HaMedina''), is a knockout cup competition in Israeli football, run by the Israel Football Association (IFA). The State Cup was first held in 1928 as the People's Cup. Because it involves clubs of all standards playing against each other, there is the possibility for " minnows" from the lower divisions to become "giant-killers" by eliminating top clubs from the tournament, although lower division teams rarely reach the final. The current holders of the State Cup are the Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Haifa, who beat Beitar Jerusalem in the 2018 final on May 9, 2018. An association football tournament was played as part of the 1988 Summer Olympics. The tournament featured 16 men's national teams from six continental confederations. The teams were drawn into four groups of four with each group playing a round-robin tournament. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the knockout stage, beginning with the quarter-finals and culminating with the gold medal match at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on 1 October 1988. Before the final match, the Soviets relocated from the Olympic Village to Soviet steamship stationed nearby.
