Bolsa Grande High School is a public high school in the Garden Grove Unified School District in Garden Grove, in southern California, United States. The school opened on September 28, 1959. The school's nickname is the Matadors. Academics Bolsa Grande (which translates from the Spanish as "big pocket" or "big bag") is geographically related to Bolsa Chica wetlands, and was named after the Bolsa Grande lowlands, which is the larger of the two topographical depressions and is set about five miles inland. Garden Grove, California
Garden Grove is a city in northern Orange County, California, United States, located just southwest of Disneyland (located in Anaheim, CA). The population was 171,949 at the 2020 census. State Route 22, also known as the Garden Grove Freeway, passes through the city in an east–west direction. The western portion of the city is known as West Garden Grove. The Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) is the 14th-largest school district in California. It includes boundaries in Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Stanton, and Westminster. It is a member of the Garden Grove Unified School District and serves the northeast portion of the city and a small portion of southern Anaheim. History The Garden Grove Union High School District was established in 1921 in response to attempts by neighboring school districts to annex the Garden Grove area. GGHS opened its doors in September 1921 in temporary facilities. The school moved to its present location on Stanford Avenue in 1923. Glen Weston Titensor (born February 21, 1958) is a former American football offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Brigham Young University. Early years Titensor attended Bolsa Grande High School and was a three-year starter at tackle on both offense and defense for the football, receiving All-County honors as a junior. He was injured in the first game of his senior year and missed the entire season. He also practiced track & field. He received a football scholarship from UCLA, where he played at nose guard and defensive tackle backing up All-American Manu Tuiasosopo for two years. Scott Totten
Scott Totten (born in Orange County, California) is an American musician, best known for his work as musical director, singer and guitarist in the current Beach Boys touring band, which features original Beach Boy Mike Love and later addition Bruce Johnston. Totten attended Berklee College of Music, eventually earning a Bachelor of Music degree. Later he was a Broadway and session guitarist. In the 1990s Totten played on albums and sessions by Grandmaster Flash, Angela Bofill, Sybill, Donna Summer and Exposé. A beach is a landform alongside a body of water which consists of loose particles. The particles composing a beach are typically made from rock, such as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, etc., or biological sources, such as mollusc shells or coralline algae.
